"Carl..... Don't you fucking accuse me of lying! I found you again--"

"Yeah, so you can just disappear again." Carl spat, the venom laced through every word stung you like a billion tiny bees. Why was he being so cold?

"Again? You're the one who fucking left the church! You're the one who left me on Hershel's farm!" You argued back with, your hands balling up into fists and your breathing beginning to speed up. All the sudden anger was causing your chest to hurt and you wanted so badly for Carl to back off.

"Don't you say his name again." The boy hissed through gritted teeth, his cold stare going back onto you while he took a few steps closer to you.

"Why? Cause you're too much of a fucking kid to accept death? Grow the fuck up Carl he's gone! People die!" You argued back with as Carl's glare strengthened, a noticeable vein popping out of his neck while his anger continued to grow.

It was retarded what was happening, the two of you were fighting like immature children, but no one had the balls to back off. The two of you seemed set on one-upping the other, each person looking for something even more hurtful to say, but Carl took the cake. His lanky form neared even closer, his breathing noticeably faster and his voice lower than usual.

"Yeah, I was an idiot for falling for someone like you, guess I was just making childish mistakes," Carl growled out as you felt your heart shatter. Carl stooped to the lowest of levels and what was supposed to just be a childish fight turned into much more. But Carl was right, he was stupid for falling for you. You should've died on the farm and this was just proof that you were a burden.

You had no idea as to what you should say, words weren't coming, only tears, but you didn't want to cry in front of someone who clearly didn't love you. Carl, however, wasn't picking up the hint that you were done so you reluctantly pushed passed your ex-love and ran straight towards the woods.

At this point you didn't care, you just wanted to run and not be found. The one person you loved more than anything was just tossing you to the side like a plate of stale crackers and you hadn't felt a pain like this since your mother's passing. It felt as if your throat was closing up and it didn't help that your vision was clouded by the tears. It made everything a big blur and to add onto the pile of things going wrong, you weren't thinking right.

Deep down you knew being out here like this was like asking for death. You were practically ringing the dinner bell with every loud sob you emitted, but your mind was clouded by Carl's harsh words. You replayed them all in your head like some twisted movie and the more you replayed it the more you felt your heart break.

His words were like poison, slowly entering your body while the side effects worsened over time. The way he said someone like you caused your stomach to twist and turn, but you forced the bile down.

Where did you go wrong? That was all you could ask yourself as you finally stopped dead in your tracks. Tears were still spilling out of your eyes like water from a broken faucet, you just couldn't stop them, but just as you thought, they brought unwanted attention.

Two lone walkers whom were lucky enough to hear your loud sobs.

You knew they were near, but it was like you were paralyzed. The only thing your body was allowing was dry heaving and tears, but that's not what you needed. You needed to reach for your knife, you needed to at least get a little further, but your body turned against you.

"No, no, please." You choked out, fighting with yourself, but this did nothing. Your ears were filled with nothing but the sounds of crisp leaves crunching and loud growling.

These things were going to get you, they were going to feast upon your bones and leave your remains to be found by Carl.

But he didn't matter.

No, he did.

The constant battle within was slowly starting to kill you inside, you loved him, but you hated him. It was toxic, but you wanted more. The walkers wanted that too, though. They wanted you and that's what they got.

As you battled with yourself one of the burly walkers got ahold of your forearm. It's foul decaying hands wrapped around you and you could feel the sharp pain of teeth in your skin.

The horrific being took a decent sized chunk out of your arm and it caused reality to slap you in the face. Your natural instinct was to pull away and scream out, but as soon as you attempted to scream the walker dropped to his knees.

"Did it get you?" Came the familiar voice of Carl; he no longer sounded pissed, he sounded like his normal self, but it still caused you to release another sob. You were bit and if Carl were to make amends it'd be too late.

It was once again your fault; if you hadn't overreacted, if you hadn't lost your mind like that you wouldn't be in this position. Sighing in defeat you locked your eyes onto the now dead walker and licked the salty tears away from the corner of your lips.

"Y-yeah." Was all you were able to mumble out.
