Peter's POV

Maisie continued laughing until she laid down and closed her eyes, "Thank you Peter." She whispered before sleep enclosed her in a peaceful embrace.

I stood on the windowsill and watched as she slept. She was smiling again, I couldn't figure out why but she was smiling more, and laughing.

I couldn't believe she thought she was alone. I thought for a moment about taking her to Neverland but decided not to yet.

I remembered how much Wendy loved Neverland but still didn't stay. Would Maisie?

My feet slowly lifted off the ground and I soared off into the night sky, "Second star to the right and straight on 'till morning." I mumbled to myself.

Neverland was quite lonely now, there were new Lost Boys but no Wendy. It had taken a few years for me to find them but slowly more and more boys needed Neverland.

Boys from orphanages, abusive homes, boys that just didn't want to grow up, that sort of thing. Girls were a different story though, for some reason no girls wanted to come to Neverland.

Most girls had friends, loving parents, plans for the future and growing up. I just couldn't understand why anyone would want to grow up.

I continued on my way until I was finally home, Neverland. The Lost Boys were used to me being away and didn't question where I was.

I'd taught them to look after themselves here and they all got along quite well so I didn't have to worry about them while I was away.

I flew into the forest and up to my tree house. I'd built myself a new treehouse after Wendy left with the boys.

I flew into the main hall to find all of the Lost Boys eating and talking. Laughter filled the air and smiles grew as I entered the room.

"Peter! You're home!" The boys screamed and I knew then that Maisie would love it here.
