They laid on opposite sides of the bed, phil scared of touching dan for to longs, and dan scared of being physically hurt.
Every now and then though, dan would softly run his fingers over phil in am attempt to reassure him.
This is how they spent most mornings, one of them would crawl into the others bed, leaving enough space between as the talked about everything and nothing.
Phil enjoyed this, but he wanted to be able to kiss dan and not have him pull away because phils aflame. Every time dan touched him, his body became alight - quite literally. And it pained him that he cant expression his fondness and love for dan physically.

A tightness spread across his chest, he knew it would happen soon. He would have to leave.
