A Secret Guard: The Return (A Laurance X Reader Book 2)

(Y/N)'s POV

I woke up to the boat docking, or at least running into land. Once everyone else was awake, we peeked out the door, and went out when the coast was clear. I came out first, in case anyone was still there. I heard Aphmau talking to Dmitri, and that's when I realized it probably wasn't a great idea to bring them along. Heh heh... I went up the ladder and I saw them running off.

"You guys stay here. I'm going after Nekoette and Dmitri. Look after the ship," I said. Then I took off sprinting in their direction. I stopped when I was close enough to Laurance, so I could yell at him for being stupid. Ya know, the normal stuff.

Asmund's POV

I turned around to see a black-haired woman followed by a man with brown hair and a female with (H/C) hair. Possibly a couple. The "My sincerest apologies. We have withdrawn them- we did not know if the children were imps in disguise or if they were actual children. We were not aware their parents were looking for them." I looked past the woman and saw the two in the back arguing. Definitely a couple.

(Y/N)'s POV

"Are you serious?!"

"Yeah..."

"(Y/N), you realize they could've been hurt."

"I know. But at that point I just thought they needed a little adventure!"

"Shoot, Aph's coming back."

"Right," I said, jumping up into the trees. Laurance agreed to take the kids back, and I went with him. Once we got back, Alexia ran up to me.

"(Y/N), we have a plan."

"I'm all ears," I said.

"Was that supposed to be a bad pun?"

"Maaaybe?"

"Anyways, so do you remember that person I was talking about? Travis?"

"Yeah."

"We have to find him. He's the only person that can help us on this island."

Hazel's POV

While Lex was telling (Y/N) the plan, I went over to Lillia, who was sitting alone on the ship. She was twisting her bracelet, a nervous habit I knew she had. Though, even after all this time of knowing her, I never really knew anything about the bracelet itself. I walked over to her and plopped down beside her.

"Hey, Lils?"

"Yeah?"

"Whatcha got there?"

"Oh, right! I haven't really told you anything about it, haven't I?" I shook my head 'no.'

"Well, when I first met you guys, when I was on the run from O'khasis, I was only in O'khasis because I thought my husband might be there. There was a terrible accident at our village, and he just disappeared. I wasn't really supposed to survive it, but I had one of the Divine relics at the time, so I was protected. I knocked me out for a few days, but when I woke up, I saw my son was dead and my husband was gone..." I could see her starting to tear up, but she continued anyways.

"Umm, yeah. This bracelet was an anniversary gift from him." She took it off her wrist to show it to me. It was a silver band with little engraved designs as well as tiny diamonds to make it sparkle. A name was etched in the middle with beautiful calligraphy.

"Why that name? We normally just call you Lillia or Lils," I said, slightly confused.

"It was just his nickname for me."

"That's sweet."

"Yeah, I was his Lily."

Lillia's POV

"Alright team, let's move out!" Avery said, pointing in some random direction. We all walked together randomly in our group. I somehow got separated from everyone else and was ambushed by a guy with white hair and green eyes.

"Ha! I bet you heard me with that other girl imp! I must say this disguise is quite attractive but you're not fooling me!" He yelled.

"Uh, guys! Can somebody help! We have a perv on our hands!" I yelled.

"It's probably him!" Alexia cheered. The rest of the group popped out of random places.

"I'm being ambushed by imps!" he yelped. With a quick swipe of her claws, she made a tiny, itty-bitty scratch on his chest.

"Snap out of it Travis, it's me," Alexia said. Though she still had her total kick-butt demeanor, I could tell she was overjoyed to see him.
