In Between

Naglalakad sila sa central park while holding each other hands, feeling the cold breeze of the city. Umupo sila sa isa sa mga bench doon and enjoy the place, maraming tao doon mapaturista man gaya nila or ordinary citizen lang ng new york. Tahimik lang sila habang nakatingin sa mga dadaan until napako ang tingin ni Rachel sa mga batang naglalaro.

"I'm on my sixth months if we still have our child inside me." mahina nyang sabi na tama lang naman para marinig ni Richard.

Nalipat ang tingin nya dito and he can see sadness in her eyes and seeing her like that brings him in horror. He pull her close to him and leave a long sweet kiss in her temple.

"Soon love, I know God will still give us the child we want." he said. "Siguro sadyang hindi pa para sa atin yung baby na yun. In God's perfect time, I know you will be a great mom. Hmm? Love you."

Ngumiti naman sya dito at tumango.

"Love you too."

Nagpatuloy naman sila sa pamamasyal nila doon hanggang nakarating sila sa mga shopping stalls. Nag-e-enjoy naman sila when something caught Richard's attention. It was a ring that he think Rachel would really deserve. 

"Love, may bibilhin ka pa ba?" He asked.

"Sana. Bakit you wanna go home?" 

Umiling naman sya.

"No. May titingnan lang sana ako doon, if okay lang you go to the store you want then I'll check lang doon sa nakita ko. Tatawagan na lang kita. Okay?" he said.

"Okay, ingat ka ha." she reminded.

"Opo, ikaw din. Love you." he said and kiss her before running away para makita yung singsing na tinitingnan nya kanina.

Pagpasok nya ay binati naman sya nung babae sa store.

"Good afternoon sir, how may I help you?" Magalang na sai nung babae na nakangiti pa.

"Hi. Miss, can I see this one?" he ask

Ngumiti naman ang babae at kinuha yung box where the ring is place.

"For your girlfriend?" sabi nung babae.

"Yeah! Don't you think she will like it?" nakangiti nyang tanong sa babae.

"Yes, every girl would love Tiffany's Solitaire Diamond rings. I'm sure she will love it." the young lady said.

After that the lady prepare the ring. He waited outside when his phone ring.

"Hello love, tapos kana ba?" he said.

"Yeah, Where are you?" she said.

"Papunta na ako dyan, text me where you are. Okay? I love you." he said.

"Okay, I love you too." she said.

"Saan ba kasi tayo pupunta?" sabi ni Rachel habang hinihila sya ni Richard.

"Basta I'm sure you will love it there." he said smiling.

Ilang minuto pa ay nakarating na sila sa sinasabing lugar ni Richard.

"Empire state? We've been here diba?" nalilito nyang sabi dito.
