In Between

"Richard, anak?"

Matapos yun agad ng niyakap ni mommy si Richard and they are both in tears. I know how much they missed each other.

"My baby boy." I heard mom said while rubbing his back.

"Mommy." He said. This is Richard, my mama's boy husband.

Mga ilang minuto pa bago sila naghiwalay sa yakapan nila. Richard wipe his tears also the tears of his mom. Natawa pa nga silang dalawa dahil ang drama daw nila.

We settled in our sit.

"I'm sorry 'nak." Mommy Glo sincerely said while holding his hands.

"Mom.."

"Shh.. You have nothing to say, alam namin na kasalanan namin kung bakit ka may takot sa puso mo kung bakit ka nagalit kung bakit parang pakiramdam mo na tinalikuran ka namin. I'm sorry anak kung ganon ang pakiramdam mo. I'm sorry if you feel pain because of that. Mommy's very sorry." 

Umiling naman si Richard.

"No mommy, I understand naman maybe I was really hurt that time and my mind is clouded with so much pain kasi nagkasabay-sabay lahat ang nangyari lalo pa nawalan kami ng anak. Sorry din mom kung natiis ko kayo ng matagal na panahon."

His mom smile at him.

"Its okay anak, we understand." She smile kahit tumulo na yung luha nya. "I'm happy that your here again at maayos na tayo."

"Ako din mom." He said and hug his mom again.

"I hope anak, you'll found in your heart also to forgive your father and your brother." She said.

"In time mom, lets just take it slow." He said.

I'm really happy that we finally got to make the first step to our new life. They shared a lot of stories as if they were away for a very long long long time. Well, two years is a long time.

Smile leave my face the whole time we ear our food and share stories. I'm just so happy that little by little my Richard is slowly fixing his broken self. I hope one day, I would wake up with the whole new Richard.

"So, we'll go ahead na mommy. Ingat po kayo." Sabi ni Richard habang nakayakap pa din sa mommy nya.

"I will, kayo din. Call me if something happen okay?" She said and Richard nod. "I love you my son."

Richard sweetly smile.

"I love you too mom." He said.

Mommy turn to me and hug me.

"I love you my darling." She said. She's really the sweetest.

"I love you too, mom."

RICHARD

We're on our way home, this night is wonderful. I get to see mom and reconcile with her, I wish I could done that with dad also even to James either.

I was driving while holding the hand of my goddess wife. Tahimik lang kaming dalawa enjoying the city lights, nung may madaanan kaming nagtitinda ng balot.

"Love. Love, wait lang.. Stop muna buy me balot please." She said.

Balot? Eh kakain lang namin tapos ang dami nga nung kinain nya eh. Well, lately I'm notice my wife eat a lot which is not really her kasi conscious daw sya sa figure nya eh hindi naman sya tumataba.

"Love, kakain lang natin mga five minutes ago. You sure you wanna eat again?" I said.

Nakita ko naman syang sumimangot and escape from my grip.

"Edi wag. Simple lang eh, ang big deal naman kung kakain ulit." I heard her murmured.

I sighed. Natawa naman ako dahil sa reaction nya.

"And why are you laughing? Do I look like joking?" She ferociously said. 

Oh men! You're dead meat.

"Hindi kasi lov--" I sighed again then make a U-term.

Wala eh nakita ko na yung gusot na mukha nya tapos mahaba pa ang nguso. And I think she's really serious about eating balot.

"Oh bakit ka bumalik?" Masungit nyang sabi.

Isa pa to sa mga changes nya this past days, sobrang tindi ng mood swing nya. May dalaw ba tung asawa ko?

"Eh kasi.." I held her hands and kiss the back of it. "May isang magandang babae dito sa kotse ko, sabi nya gusto daw nyang kumain ng balot pero hindi agad napagbigyan kaya ayun inatake ng tantrums pero dahil sobrang mahal ko sya kaya bibilhan ko na sya."

Sabi ko pa and saktong tinigil ko sin ang sasakyan. I saw her staring at me seriously pero agad din naman syang ngumiti.

She lean in closer at tinadtad ako ng halik sa mukha ko but she leave a lingering kiss on my lips.

"Thank you. Your the best, go buy me na. I want three, please. I love you." She said excitedly.

At talagang tatlo ha. Ghad! Anong nangyayari sa misis ko? After ko makabili bumalik ako sa kanya at grabe ang tuwa nya, her eyes are clear evidence.

"Kakainin mo na ba yan? I didn't get asin or suka." I asked.

Umiling lang naman sya.

"Nope, sa bahay na lang. Lets go, lets go I'm sleepy na." She said.

Sleepy pero kakain pa? What the hell is happening there.

Habang nasa byahe nakatulog nga sya pero hawak nya pa din yung balot nya. Tsk! My dear wife is really acting weird. After a bit nakarating na din kami sa bahay.

"Love, wakey wakey.." I said as I planted small kisses on her lips.

"Baby labs, gising na po nandito na tayo. Wake up na.." I said again.

Dahan-dahan naman syag nagdilat ng mata nya then she smile.

"Saan na tayo? Are we home?" She asked.

I nod.

"Lets go na, kakain kapa neto oh." I said and raised the plastic with her balot.

Namilog naman ang mata nya meaning she's excited again. Pumasok agad sya sa bahay at dumiretso sa kusina I guess.  Naiwan pa kasi ako sa labas para ilock yung gate at kunin yung bag nya.

Naabutan ko syang nilalantakan yung balot but weird thing is...

"Suka na may ketchup sa balot? Love, seriously?"

She look at me and smile widely may ketchup pa nga sa gilid ng labi nya eh.

"Its masarap love, you should try it. Say ah!" She said tapos isusubo nya na sana sakin pero hindi ko talaga kaya eh.

"Hindi na love, sarap na sarap ka eh ayoko na makishare sa mahal ko. I'm good na." I said in a way that she won't recognize na ayaw kung kumain ng kinakain nya.

"Okay." She simply said before she eat again.

"You want water?" I said.

Umiling sya.

"Milk please. Yung bigay nila mama." She said.

I poured the milk on the glass tapos binigay ko na sa kanya and hola ubos na nya yung balot.

"Ubos na? Tatlo yun ah, love hindi ka naman masyadong gutom nuh?" I said.

Umiling lang ulit sya while drinking her milk.

"I'm sleepy na." She said as soon as she finish her milk.

What the if.. Katatapos nya lang lumamon mga tol tapos sleepy na daw sya. Ghad! There is something really weird happening.

Like what the heck!

She move towards me then hug me placing her head on my chest. I saw her close her eyes.

"Love, carry me please I'm so sleepy." She said.

At boom tulog nga sya. Adik pa tung asawa ko o ano? Nakakabahala na ituu!
