The New Beginning (Sequel to Split H.S.)

As Aaron woke up, we both snuggled in bed together for awhile. Aaron kissed the top of my head, and I looked up at him smiling. "I love you Maddie" he said. "I love you too" I smiled. I leaned closer into his side, and closed my eyes again. Around 5 minutes later, there was a knock at my door. "Yeah"? I asked. "Mom and dad want you downstairs for a bit" Evelyn said. "Okay" I answered. "Hey. Before I go down I need to tell you something" I told Aaron and he nodded for me to go on. "I have a 2 year old girl, Alaina" I said hoping he wouldn't freak. "Really? Is she here"? He asked. "Yeah she is actually, let's get dressed and go downstairs. Then you can meet her" I said smiling. He nodded, as I got up and leaned over the side of the bed slipping on my bra and underwear. Before I could get off the bed, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back, so I was laying on top of him. "Cmon we gotta go down" I said he laughed and let me get up, so I could get dressed. Once we were both dressed we walked hand in hand downstairs, into the living room. My mom was surprised that there was a guy here. "Hi, Madeline" my mom smiled eyeing up Aaron. "Hey" I smiled. "Mom, dad, this is Aaron. I have been seeing him for awhile now, ever since Elijah and I split" they both nodded. They asked some questions and he answered them. "Yeah, I own a little ranch with my dad, just outside of London here". He told them "Madeline has always had a thing for country boys, she has her own horse she boards too". My mom said, I smiled looking down. "Maddie show him a picture of her" I nodded grabbing my phone, going onto my photos and showing him.

"That is one magnificent horse" he said in awe. "What's her name"? He asked. "That is, Baloo" I said. He laughed at her name. I playfully punched his arm, ''I like her name" I said smiling. He laughed at me, and leaned his head on my shoulder. "Hey, I'm going to go get Alaina" I said getting up, and going to her room. "Hey baby girl" I smile at her and kiss her face. I picked her up and she snuggled into my neck. I smiled at the feeling. "Ma-ma" she mumbled. "What's wrong"? I asked her "I- hungry" I nodded and sat on the couch for a minute with her, seeing her reaction about Aaron. She didn't really know what to do, she just sat there with him. I got up and went to the kitchen to get her a bottle. All of a sudden I heard crying, I went back in and got her, her bottle and she calmed down. I hadn't told my parents, that Aaron and I have been seeing each other for a couple weeks. Once Alaina finished her bottle I burped her, then went and laid her down in her crib. I kissed her forehead, and she felt pretty warm, so I took her temperature. Oh great a sick baby, 102.1. That is pretty high, I should take her in. I went downstairs and told my mom she said it would be best to take her in. "Aaron, can you come up here"? I yelled down the stairs. A few seconds later I heard him come up the stairs, he walked into Alaina's room, and helped me get her bag ready. I was getting stressed. We went back downstairs and I put her into Aaron's truck, we both had gotten our vehicles back today. Aaron drove us to the urgent care, nearby. Alaina kept waking up the whole ride there crying. She couldn't sleep and was obviously in pain. I felt so bad for her, once we pulled up, Aaron carried her car seat in with her in it. I told the receptionist what the problem was and she told us to have a seat. "Alright, one of the nurses will be out in a bit" I nodded and thanked her. I sat down next to Aaron, and laid my head on his shoulder. I sighed looking at Alaina in pain. I felt so bad for her. "Alaina Styles"? I hear her name being called to go back. I got up, Aaron of course took her. "Alright what seems to be the problem"? The nurse asked while looking at her computer. "Well she has a fever of 102.1. When I took it. She couldn't sleep. And was clearly in a lot of pain". I explained to the nurse. She got up and took her temperature, as I held her in my  arms. She was still being fussy. "We're going to give her some antibiotics to help the pain. Just keep an eye on her, for the most part". She told me. I nodded, "I will get those called in now" she said bidding us her goodbyes. "Let's go out to your place for the night, yeah"? I asked Aaron. He nodded so I called my parents and let me know.

I was in awe at this ranch. Once we parked the truck, I got out and got Alaina. Aaron grabbed the diaper bag, then we headed inside. He held the door open for me, and I took my shoes off, at the door. His dad, was sitting in a chair watching tv. "Dad, we're home". Aaron told his dad. "We're"? He asked. "Yeah" he said. His dad turned around and saw me, he waved us over. I walked over to him, and said hello. As did he. "Dad, this is Madeline, and her little girl Alaina" he told him. "What a cutie, how old is she"? He asked. "Thanks, she is 2 years" I saids smiling. "Here let's go show you around" Aaron told me. I grabbed Alaina and picked her up. I gave her, her little dose of medicine. We walked outside, Aaron saw I was getting a little tired by carrying Alaina, so he did the rest of the time. She absolutely loved him. I was glad. Cause so did I. He showed me his horses, and I mentioned I did barrel racing, and volleyball. I never told him that, so why not now. We walked back inside his house, and I asked if I could lay Alaina down for a bit. See if she'll take a nap, fortunately she did. Aaron, walked over to me and kissed my forehead. I was so much shorter than him, that I had to stand on my tippy toes. "You know what we should do"? He asked. "Hmm"? I asked. "Like a country photoshoot, kind of thing"! He said, I like the thought of that.
