Chapter 19

"That's her!" someone exclaims.

"Wait!" Daniel says before anyone can do anything, making all his fans look at him.

"You don't have to do this Dan," I whisper, but Daniel doesn't listen.

"Yes, this is my girlfriend. I know everything has come as a bit of a shock, it has been the same for me. But I'm so happy with everything that has happened and that is happening. All I'm asking from you guys is to be happy for me and to respect us."

"Of course!" someone says and the rest of the fans nod in agreement.

"Thank you guys," Daniel says before taking my hand and his bag and walking towards the exit.

"That was awesome!" Pascalle says, who has suddenly reappeared with Macy on her arm.

"Where did you go?" I ask confused.

"I walked away a little with Macy. I figured people would go crazy if they saw her."

"Thank you," I say as I take Macy from her.

"Daddy!" she exclaims when she sees Daniel, making all of us stop walking.

"Did she just?" Daniel asks shocked.

"Yeah, she did," I say with a huge smile on my face. I hand Macy to Daniel, who gives her a big hug before we continue our way back to the car, Macy with her arms tightly wrapped around Daniel.

"Can you put Macy to bed?" I ask Daniel as we walk into my apartment.

"Sure!"

"I'll make us a coffee. If you can't find anything, just ask, okay?"

"Will do!" Daniel says before heading to Macy's bedroom with Macy in his arms. I make my way to the kitchen and start making Daniel and myself a coffee. Pascalle has gone home with the excuse that she has a lot that needs to be done. I know she's just giving me and Daniel some space to talk.

When I finish making coffee, I go back to the living room and wait for Daniel to come back. I'm going over different ways to start this conversation, but every way seems wrong.

"She went out like a light," Daniel says, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"She must've been tired from all the excitement," I say as Daniel sits down next to me.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, why?" I ask before taking a sip of my coffee.

"I don't know, something seems off, like something's wrong."

"Nothing's wrong. At least, I don't think so."

"So there is something?"

"Yes, there is."

"What is it?"

"I don't really know how to say this."

"Come on Lyd, you can tell me anything, you know that," Daniel says as he puts his hand on my leg. I put my hand over his before squeezing lightly, letting him know that I do know that.

"This isn't just something small. It's gonna change everything."

"I don't mind, I like change."

"I hope so."

"What is it Lyd? You're making me worried," Daniel says and I take a deep breath. It's now or never.

"Okay, so after we got back from Mexico, I noticed something different."

"Different? About what?"

"My body."

"Okay?" Daniel says, sounding confused and I don't blame him. As a guy, it's hard to understand the feeling.

"I wasn't sure, but I had a feeling what it was. So I took a test and," I say, but before I can finish my sentence, Daniel cuts me off.

"You're pregnant?"

"Yes, I am," I say, studying Daniel's face for any kind of reaction.

"We're having a baby," Daniel says amazed.

"Yeah, we are."

"This is amazing! I love you," Daniel says before kissing me. As his lips touch mine, all my worried fade away. Daniel and I are in this together and nothing is going to change that. We're a family. Me, Daniel, Macy and our unborn baby. Together, we can do anything.
