Crying Lightning (An Alex Turner Fanfiction)

''Well are you going to tell me then?'' Her eyes dashed over to me, gave me a quick glance, then glued back on Alex again. Batting her fan like eyelashes she rested her hands on his shoulders. she was still close to him.

''Tell you what?'' He gulped and shuffled in discomfort, still trapped in between Arielle and the chair.

''Who this is'' she nodded over to me without moving her fixated gaze. I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms. "I'm his girlfriend" I replied. That caught her attention. She turned her head to look at me properly.

''Oh really? I didn't notice, it's just you don't look like Alex's type''

What a snob! ''excuse me?'' i snapped

''Arielle please..'' Alex stood up forcing his way out from underneath her grasp.

"We should get a move on Ari" he glared at Arielle.

''I remember when you used to call me that, Alex'' said Arielle

I scoffed and scooped up my bags and started to follow Alex.

"You can't board the plane yet, we still have a half hour" Arielle half jogged to keep up with our speedy pace.

''We're just taking a walk'' Alex replied, grabbing my hand and turning a corner. He pulled me at full force and nearly took me off my feet. Arielle gave up and strutted back to the area we were once sitting in. 

I tugged at Alex's hand getting him to slow down. 

''Wow i don't think i can handle this already'' Alex sighed. 

''We won't let her ruin anything, she might be a bit of a pain but that won't stop us from enjoying ourselves, okay?'' I could tell this was aggravating for Alex.

''Promise me you won't let her get to you'' he looked up. His eyes meeting mine.

''Is this what it's about? You're worried she'll upset me?'' i asked feeling touched by his concern.

''Yes, i don't want her to panic you or make you feel intimidated in any way, after what happened with Naomi and Jessica i've realised that i need to make you feel safe and that you can trust me.'' 

''Honestly don't worry, i'm more concerned about you, and how stressed you are, i'll be fine Al, nothing is getting in the way of us.'' i reassured him. (famous last words.) and with that i pulled him into a tight hug. 

-25 minutes later-

I handed my boarding pass to the flight attendant who had already checked Alex's but glanced at mine once again. 

''I do apologise for any inconveniences but you won't be sitting with Mr Turner, you'll be three rows away on seat three,row F.'' 

''Wait but we booked tickets to sit next to eachother?''  

''I'm sorry but your tickets are different rows, now could i ask you to move along?'' She ushered us to move since we were forming a queue. She handed me back my ticket. 

I carefully read the details on the ticket. 'Arielle Vandenberg seat three row F'

Disbelief shot into me. Wow, Arielle must have swapped our tickets. I thought back to when Arielle bumped into us. I had my bag open after i was putting my sunglasses away...she must have swapped tickets. 

''Wait look at my passport, it's not me'' I started

''I'm afraid we have no time for that, now please move along'' She replied through gritted teeth, obviously forcing a smile. Alex glared at her followed me down the isle.

''She obviously wasn't doing her job properly because she would've checked your passport.'' He said

''I bet she checked nobody's passport.'' I replied irritated by the fact that Arielle is now going to sit next to Alex. 

I shoved my hand luggage into the compartment above the seats and flumped down onto my- Arielle's

Seat.  I watched as she acted suprised to sit next to Alex and ask where i was. Alex acted cold towards her and gave short answers.

sorry this is so short it's just i've been very busy lately. 

I'm uploading this extremely short one because i've been promising you all that i'd update soon. I'll write a proper chapter v soon i promise. Ily all! -Phoebe
