A month had gone by since court. Everyone who knew about the situation was happy at the result. Everyone except for Brittany of course. When I got to the cafeteria Avery and Brittany were throwing insults at each other yet again. "You're going to be lonely forever you little witch!" Brittany screamed at Avery. "And you'll have another five STI's before graduation!" Avery screamed back. "I don't have any STI's!" Brittany retorted. Avery scoffed, "Are you sure about that? I bet you never went to get checked." "So? I think I would know if I had one," Brittany said and sat back down. "Face it, you're going to be single forever," Brittany said right before the doors opened. Everyone ignored the sound and kept looking at Avery and Brittany.
"There she is," I heard the principals voice and turned around quickly thinking that he was talking about me since I wasn't in detention. I was really surprised to see Luke standing there with a rose, a box of chocolates, and red and white balloons. "Avery Hope," he said, which made Ave and a bunch of people, including Brittany, face him.
"I have been in love with you since the first time I saw you. I can't even explain how happy I was when we started dating. You've changed me in the best way possible and made me a better man." Luke took a few breaths before going on. "You aren't afraid of telling me if I have something on my face or if my shirt looks horrendous." Many people laughed at the last sentence. Avery's eyes were starting to water over as she moved closer to him.
"What I'm trying to say is that I love you and thank you for being the best girlfriend I could have ever asked for. I didn't used to believe that there was that one person on earth made just for you, but I'm sure as hell lucky that I found her. I love you, Avery Hope. Thank you for the past six months," he finished before Avery pounced on him and kissed him.
Everyone in the cafeteria cooed as Luke spun Avery around and kissed her again. Many people began clapping. Brittany glared at her friends who were also clapping at the two. "You were saying, Brittany?" Ave asked with a smirk. Brittany huffed and walked out of the cafeteria with none of her friends behind her. "I can't believe you did all of this," Ave said quietly to Luke after he set her down. He smiled one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen on his face.
"I didn't get a chance to do anything big for Valentines Day so I decided to surprise you for our half year." "I love you so much, Luke," Ave said and pulled him into another kiss. Most of Brittany's friends were checking Luke out and whispering to each other. "He's so hot!" "How did she get him? "Oh my God. Brittany must be so jelly." I had to stop listening in. I can't stand the way some of these girls say things. They sound like sixth graders, but with poorer vocabularies.
"I have to go return this visitors pass and head back to school, but are you up for dinner tonight?" Luke asked Avery. She nodded at him. "Good because you would be coming either way," he joked, which made Avery punch him in the arm not so lightly. Luke tried to cover the pain, but failed when he rubbed it. "You're way too strong for your height," he said and ran towards the exit before Avery could punch him again.

A month and a bit went by before Brittany caused another scene at school. "What do you mean you think we should be seeing other people?" Brittany's ear-shattering screeches blasted through the hallway. People weren't really caring for what she did anymore. Especially when we all saw this coming. One of the players on the football team, Jeremy, had started dating Brittany only a few days ago. Everyone knew his routine. Date a girl until he has sex with her and depending on how good or bad she is he would keep her around anywhere from a week more to a month, but this was only a few days.
