You Put Me Through It All

Meredith Grey POV

My oh so lovely alarm disturbs my sleep and I complete my morning routine. I get ready, Cristina drives me to school, and I go to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th period. Addison gives me glares and Derek gives me dreamy eyes. It gets more I interesting when lunch roles around.

Cristina and I walk up to our lockers to switch out our books.

"Oh and by the way we're eating lunch outside. It's actually warm today." She says and she open her locker.

"Okay." I reply and I slide my books in my locker and grab my other ones. We close out lockers in unison and walk down to the cafeteria.

"So is there anything new with the McDreamy and Satan situation?" Cristina sis me in the crowded hallway

"Evil looks and dreamy blue eyes are all I've gotten." I reply back. Just then I hear Derek's voice call my name behind me.

"Meredith!" He says caring up to me.

"Derek." I say as he's walking beside me.

"I'm gonna go." Cristina days and gives me a look before walking off.

"Run into anymore viscous walls?" H asks sarcastically.

"Nope. No more walls." I respond.

"Now are you gonna tell me what actually happened?"

"I told you I ran into a wall." I defend.

"Meredith-" Derek gets out before being
interrupted.

"Hey baby." Satan says as the walks up on the other side of Derek and grey abs his arm.

"Addison what are you doing?" Derek exclaimed as he pulls away.

"I'm gonna go now." I say as I start to walk off.

"No Mer wait." He says grabbing my arm. I flinched because that's what Finn would do all the time. But he's not Finn, and he would never hurt me like he did. At least I hope.

"What is this slut doing?" Addison asks with a disgusted tone, and Derek shoots his arm out of her to stop her, and pulls us all against the lockers.

"What did you just call her?" He asks.

"Why do you care?" She sneers.

"Because she is a nice, pretty girl who isn't a slut."

"Derek I should be the only nice, pretty girl in your life."

"Fist of all, your not the only girl on the planet. Second, your not nice, and third. We broke up."

"You'll come running back I know you will. You easily could save yourself the time of hanging around this slut and just be with me, but you won't, so I'll just have to wait." She says and intently kisses him. He grabs her should face and pulls away.

"You need to leave because Meredith and I are going on a date Saturday."

"What?" She asks confused. She rips away from Derek and storms over to me. She sort of lunges me and I go to block my face with my books, but then I realize she's not gonna hit me.

"You little piece of shit you better stay away from my boyfriend or else." She threatens and furiously walks off.

"Meredith are you okay?" Derek ask me with concern dripping from his words.

"Yeah I'm fine." I rapid gathering myself, and start to walk. Derek stop me, and puts his arm on my shoulder. I jump pretty bad because my mind is that in that mode and my body is filled with adrenaline.

"Why's you jump when Addison came over to you and when I just put my hand on your shoulder?" He asks very seriously worried.

"I-I don't know." I say and shrug past him. I quickly finish my walk to the cafeteria and get my food. I head out to the courtyard and spot my friends.

"Did you have a nice?" Cristina asks taking a bite of her own salad.

"Uh yeah." I respond with uncertainty.

"Talk with who?" Izzy asks interested.

"McDreamy. He's taking me to his house for lunch on Saturday." I say smiling.

"And what about dessert?" Alex adds taking a sip form his drink.

"Oh come on you always make everything dirty!" Izzy says and playfully punches his arm.

"Well nobody's getting dessert here." I say taking my first bite of salad.

"I'm surprised it's so nice out today." Callie states.

"I know it's never this nice." Cristina adds.

"You all should come over my house after school to swim." George suggests. Everyone agrees while I'm sitting in silence freaking g out in my head. I can't go swimming they'll see the remaining bruises.

"Mer?" Cristina asks taking me away from my thoughts.

"Are you coming? I can pick you up."

"Uh yeah." I say

"Or maybe your new boyfriend can drive you why don't you invite him." Alex says

"Uh-"

"Yeah Mer invite him!" Callie persuades.

"I-"

"Oh come on Mer." Cristina adds.

"Okay okay fine." I say giving in. This is not going to go well.

As I'm walking into my medical careers clinical class Derek waves me over to the empty seat next to him. Addison walks in right after and gives me an "I wanna kill you" look.

"So uh today all of my friends are going to George O'Malley's house for kind of like a pool party type thing. I was wondering if you'd like to come." I ask nervously.

"Yeah I would love to. I'll pick you up text my your dates and George's." He says.

"Okay." I reply with a smile as the teacher walks in.

After Cristina drops me off I run inside and text Derek my address and George's. I start panicking because I don't know what to do. I would love to swim with my friends again it was so much fun, but Finn ruined that.

I decide to throw on some leggings and pair in with a long, light sweater type thing.  I step into a pair of flip flops and throw my hair into a pony tail. I grab my backpack sliding my phone in it and run down the stairs. I'm just going to use the homework excuse of why I can't get in the pool. I hear Derek's car horn and I push open the door slamming it shut behind me. Here we go.

AN: Haha back to back updates I think that's pretty good. I got a lot of new ideas yesterday for this, and I'm pumped to write them all. It's gonna start to get a little more interesting. Anyways I hope you liked this chapter thanks for reading! 💚💛💛
