The Unoriginal (Aaron Burr x Reader)

You, Lafayette, and Hamilton laughed while Burr, John, Hercules, and Cato were still iffy on knowing French. After a small time, Hamilton noticed a small detail. "So why are you laughing actually?", he asked you getting confused. "Because of what Lafayette just said", you told him obviously not catching on to the problem. "But then that means that you would have to know what that meant." "Yeah... He just said that John's boney ass crushed tiny Mr.Fish...", you said slightly sad. "WHAT ARE WE GOING TO TELL HIS WIFE, HAMILTON?!", you yelled in his face while grabbing his shoulders. "I don't know!", he shouted back while trying to pry your hands away. He found your actions funny, but superstitions got in the way of him seeing what's good.

Hercules picked John up by his shoulders and out of the fountain like a ragdoll. Lafayette stood in amusement and examined his drenched figure. The outline of his body was much more visible. "Mon Dieu, John you look like a drowned rat that just climbed it way out from the Par-what the hell is that Se tortiller in your pocket. Ça me fait peur." You walked away from Hamilton and went over to John. You poked his pocket. It's a piece of wood...?

"John, you better find out what's in there yourself", you told him while sitting back down on the crate next to Cato. You felt a hand in your shoulder and turned around. "Hello, Burr." "So what did Lafayette say about John?", he asked looking down at you. "Just that John's butt ended a fish's life. Such brutality", you said while looking down. "What a crime.." You two stared at each other with serious faces until Burr snickered, then you did, then you both laughed trying not to draw too much attention to yourselves. "Hey John! Your boney ass just made us get off topic!", Hercules shouted at him. "Well I'm leaving on the 27th with you and Lafayette!", John shouted back. "Hey, Laf..", you called to him getting worried. He looked down to you with a smile. You wanted this to be a private conversation, so you switched things up.

"Je suis tellement inquiet pour vous tous. Lafayette, protégez-les de tout votre possible, mais Jacky, il est le plus excité de vous, je ne sais pas ce qu'il adviendra s'il entre en guerre avec un tel état d'esprit."
"I am so worried about you all. Lafayette, protect them with all you can. But, Jacky, he's the most excited of you. I do not know what will happen if he goes to war with such a state of mind. "

He saw the fear in you and crouched down to be at your level. He took both of your hands in his. "Chéri", he said addressing you. Burr perked his head towards him. That was one french word he definitely knew. Now, he wished he kept up on his french lessons.

"Je promets que je reviendrai vers vous, les cinq d'entre nous reviendrons. Je sais que vous feriez de même pour moi. J'aimerais que davantage de personnes dans ce monde aient votre cœur."

You gave him a hug, happy with what he said. "Now tell me when exactly you nerds leaving me", you said finally speaking english. "Well don't put it like thaaaaat!", he said while pulling away. "You better tell me right now Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier Marquis de Lafayette." He blinked a few times realizing how well you said that. "U-uh oui.. I am to leave with Hercules, John, and Alexander on March 27th at 5 in the morning to ride off to Washington's current base", he said quietly to you because of the important information he was giving you. "Okay now get the other three over so we can talk about this in further detail." He smiled and motioned for Cato to come with him. He two then had to resolve a very pointless argument.
