The Selection truth or dare.

Sooooooo super sorry I haven't updated, life got in the way. but here's an update i'm sure you will be fond of. I missed you guys!

chapter 10

(America's POV)

From what I can tell our opponents have all been pranked at least once...  I heard the queen pranked herself and Celeste has been pranked twice... and we got Maxon and Aspen already so right now we have the advantage. Marlee is setting up plastic wrap on all the palace doors and making sure theres no finger prints on it so it completely invisible.  While I love pranks I stick to the classics. I am filling pies with wiped cream and hooking them up to catapults. Marlee comes back rubbing her hands together, "all done. The castles all boarded up, every window and opening."  I smile, "good... Now... I just finished the catapults..."

We high five, now part 2 of the clear wrap door plan, play bait.... I stand outside the door where I see the king and queen now cautiously watching us, they have a pie in their hands they charge and we pretend to not notice. They run straight into the plastic wrap and are thrown backwards and become coated in their own pie. The king lets out a grunt and the queen laughs. She apparently finds being pranked twice hilarious. At this point our only threat seems to be Aspen and Maxon or as they call themselves, The incredible jumping super optimistic noodle squad... I honestly don't understand those two.

But to be honest who does understand them. Anyway, now we have to wait for the noodle squanders or whatever to come after us. Im not saying their full name it takes way to long. Marlee and I watch as the king and queen stand up and walk away.I look to Marlee, "Okay, you go left and I go right." She nods and we spread apart I begin to look around to see if anyone is near. I glance left and right... nothing.

Then I hear a scream come from Marlee. "RUN!"

I spin around and before I know it I'm coated in a sticky honey based batter. I look up to see the two noodle boys laughing up in the tree and high fiving. I grunt. "Oh just you wait!" I scream up at them as they make faces at me. I try to run to get to marlee but keep slipping because of how slick this honey paste they dumped onto me is. Marlee helped me out though.

"Ok," I say to her, "we gotta do something big... something that will knock the boys off their feet..."

Marlee grins some wicked grin you would expect to see on the cat from the movie alice in wonderland. "what do you got?" I ask, slightly suspicious. "We can knock them all out with this one..." She begins to laugh maniacally. the king and queen will be out for good with this, and so will Celeste and Kriss and the boys will be one step closer to losing..." She laughs again. I hesitate, Im starting to wonder if she was pushed over the edge possibly. "we are gonna need your maids." She says.

Maxon's POV

We got them we finally got them! Aspen and I were still laughing in the tree. America couldnt even walk straight and her hair is gonna be so sticky by the time this war of pranks is done. Who knew someone could have so much fun while laughing at the misfortunes of others. Aspen laughed so hard he doubled over and fell out of the tree. I climbed down and helped him to his feet.

"now what?" I ask him.He looks at me for a while before realizing we still needed to prank the girls two more times to win. Because honestly the royal Riot and whatever celeste's team is called just keep pranking themselves or obliviously walking into a trap. we dont even have to worry about them.

It's America and Marlee that have me worried.

I begin to panic, we didn't have  another prank in mind yet. The girls probably already are coming out with their next phase of attack...

Aspen leans over and looks at me snapping me out of my horrible visions.

"I GOT IT! PAINT FILLED WATER BALLOONS!"

I nod quickly and laugh. Before we rush of for plan B of operation war of pranks.

Celeste's POV

This is so Unfair, my hair IS BLUE and we have already been pranked twice! Maxon obviously doesn't think of me as strong competition but I will prove them wrong! I just know I will! Kriss sits down next to me. "Well?" i ask her. "Well what?" she replies. "Aren't you gonna help me or something?! Maybe be useful for once in your stupid life!?" She begins to laugh, "Okay" she says. I give her a weird look before she slams a pie in my face. "there." she says, "now we are out and you don't have to worry about being pranked anymore."

She was going to pay...

King Clarkson's POV

We have been pranked twice! This is unheard of! I'm becoming a mockery and my wife just feels the need to laugh it off.I need to show how a king can play dirty... They might not think of me as a threat now but just wait I can't wait until i see the look on my son's face when I prank him. Until then... I plan to rally up a few guards to have them help me.

I find a few guards standing outside the kitchen. They were discussing recent rebel attacks and strategy. I stop them. "excuse me." They stand up straight and bow, "Yes Your majesty?"

"gentlemen I need your help."

The look confused. "with what sir?" one of them asks. My wife walks up beside me, "Clarkson, asking for help is against the rules." She says. I look at her in the eyes. "honey, You forget. Im the one who makes the rules." She breaks into a grin. We look back at the guards. "Can you help or what?"

Aspen's POV

Well Celeste just ran by us covered in pie, so I take it her team is out. Maxon chuckles as she walks by, practically sliding down the hall in her pie covered heels. But I don't have time to worry about her team, I gotta protect mine. I grab a sligshot and start filling balloons with paint.

Maxon really wants to help but he keeps making messes everywhere and his maids will kill me if I let him get paint on his suit. i swear he is like a child sometimes he gets in trouble if he gets messy and so I put him in a 'timeout' in the corner. He just thinks hes on the look out though.

I begin tying off the final balloon when maxon starts making some absurd noise. I turn around  to see two girls running down the hallway. Its clearly the girls trying to prank us. We follow close behind as they begin running around every turn like they are trying to find someone.They run and suddenly are stuck in a corner I begin to chuckle. This was too easy. The girls turn around.

I drop my balloon in shock.

It was anne and Lucy.

Maxon gasps and spins around.

"Hey maxi pad heads up!!" screamed marlee from behind us as she throws a paint balloon in our direction hitting maxon square to the chest. he collapsed to the floor and America laughs hard and hugs Marlee. "You're a genius"she says then they run away.

To be honest it was a pretty sneaky move dressing the maids like them and using them as bait. We were played but that is for now. There is a tsunami of pranks coming for them. And they better run.

This wasn't super long so Im sorry but life is hard to predict sometimes and im trying to start updating this story again. But please tell me what you think. I don't think it was some of my best work but im hoping i at least got a laugh or two from it!
