When He Left

Tao held your hand waiting for you to wake up. He sniffled as he laid his head against your arm. "Please wake up (y/n). I'm so sorry." He cried, "It's all my fault. Everything is my fault."

~In your mind~
"Are you ready to go (y/n)?" Tao asked. "Tao?" He smiled. "Yes my love?"
"Where are we? What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to take you away."
"Away where?"
"To paradise in the sky."
"You mean-" he nods.
"Yes I do." He holds out his hand. "Let's go." You hesitate then take hold. He walks with you to a door. You can see light shining from underneath. Besides that there was only a simple spot light in a huge dark room.
"Tao?"
"Yes?"
"Are you...? Am I...?"
"Let's just go and live in bliss." You nod.
"Okay."

~Outside your mind~
Your heart monitor begins to flat line. Tao jumps up. "Nurse! Doctor! Someone!" He yells. They come racing in with a crash cart. "Stand back sir." The nurse says pushing Tao back. He watches on as they open your patient outfit and oil the crash cart paddles. "Clear!" The doctor yells. He puts the paddles to your chest. You jerk up still unresponsive. He does it again. "Clear!" The doctor turns to him. "I'm sorry."
"No! No!" Tao yells as he starts to cry. "(y/n) please! Don't die on me!"

~In your mind~
Before you can reach the door, you hear a voice. "(y/n) please don't die on me." Two cries. You look around. "Tao." You whisper. "I need you
(y/n). Please come back to me." You walk away from the door. On a wide screen like view. You could see Tao crying. He was hugging you but your body was limp.
"I don't want to leave you Tao."
"Comeback."
"Tao I'm here!" You yelled.
"I love you (y/n)."

~Outside your mind~
"I love you so much (y/n)." He mumbled into your neck.
Your finger twitched. You opened your eyes. Tao hadn't noticed you were alive yet. "I can't live without you. I was stupid for leaving you. I shouldn't have."
"Then why did you?" You asked. Tao gasped and looked at you. "I- (y/n) you're alive!"
"Why did you leave?" You asked again.
"Because I- because I'm an idiot."
"You're right. You are." You pushed him off with one hand. You noticed that the other was in a cast. You had bandages around your head and a strange pain in your back. Tao looked hurt that you pushed him away. "Please don't be mad at me." He said. "Oh no. I've moved passed mad straight to pissed off." You yelled. "You left me here to deal with the aftermath of your mess! I was being attacked left and right because of you!"
"I'm sorry." He mumbled looking away.
I know you are! But that doesn't help me!" He sat silently. You clenched and then unclenched your jaw. "Get out." He looked at you.
"What?"
"I said get out!" You yelled. He stood up "But I-"
"Just go!" You pointed to the door. He looked at you one last time before leaving.
