Chapter 12

(Saturday)

I stretched as I sat up in bed. I looked at the time and saw it was 2, which was really late for me to wake up. Mia was going to be at my house to pick me up for the mall at 4. I hopped out of bed and walked into my bathroom. I took a quick shower and brushed my teeth. I wrapped a towel around myself and walked into my closet. I quickly put on a teal blue chiffon maxi skirt and a white lace crop top. I put on mascara and lipgloss before slipping on leather sandals.

I heard someone knock on the front door, so I quickly grabbed my bag and went downstairs. When I opened the door, I saw Mia.

"Hey! Ready to go shopping?" She asked as we walked to her car.

"Yup," I said, popping the 'p'. The drive wasn't long, and we talked about the trip to Malibu tomorrow.

"Oh I can't wait to get an amazing tan over spring break!" I said excitedly.

"Yeah! Relaxing by the beach sounds like heaven," Mia said, grinning. I laughed, I loved the beach! After about 5 more minutes of driving, we pulled into the mall parking lot. It wouldn't take that long to go shopping today since we were just looking for stuff for the beach. We walked into a bunch of stores, buying 5 new bikinis. We also bought sunglasses, cover-ups, and flip-flops. I bought a pastel floral corset bikini top with matching bottoms, a coral lace string bikini set, and 3 more. I bought a white chiffon cover-up and a sheer lace cover-up.

We walked into Starbucks when we were finally done shopping. I loved to shop, but three times in the last two weeks is a lot.

"I'm so excited to get to go to Malibu for all of spring break!" Mia said excitedly as we waited for our drinks.

"Same! I thought that my parents wouldn't let me go, but it was surprisingly easy," I said and Mia laughed. She knew how overprotective my dad was. "I hope Noah, James, and Liam find their mates. I know they've been hoping to find them since they turned seventeen, but they still haven't found them," I said and Mia nodded.

"Yeah I hope so, too." We headed home after we got our drinks, listening to music and thinking to ourselves. "Bye Bree," Mia said, waving as I hopped out of her car and walked towards the front door. I waved back as I opened the door. It was 9 now. Ok, so maybe I'm not capable with having a short shopping day. I walked into the kitchen, and saw a note from my parents.

'Have a pack situation to take care of, be home early tomorrow morning. Love mom and dad.' I frowned slightly. They've had a lot of 'pack situations,' lately.

'I hope it's not anything bad...' I said to my wolf.

'Yeah... it seems kind of odd for there to be this many issues... there haven't been this many in a while,' she replied. I sighed and started walking up the stairs to my room. When I opened the door, I froze. Something definitely wasn't right. There was a scent in here I didn't know. I sniffed the air again. Yup, definitely not one that I knew. I hadn't noticed the scent anywhere else in the house, just my room. Whoever was here was only interested in my room. I cautiously walked around my room, looking over everything. Everything looked like it did this morning. I walked into the bathroom, and nothing was different. I was confused. There was a scent I didn't know in my room, yet everything was the same as it always was. When I walked to my window, I noticed a note.

'I always get what I want, and you, my darling, are what I want,' it said. This definitely got me nervous. I sniffed the paper, and noticed it had the same scent. I bit my room and quickly dialed Blake's number. He answered on the second ring.

"Hey angel," he said over he phone.

"Blake," I said in a shaky voice.

"Angel? What's wrong?" He said, concern in his voice.

"Can you just come over to my house right now?" I asked. I heard rustling in the line before he spoke.

"Yeah I'll be there in a second," he said.

"Ok, see you soon," I said and ended the call. I sat on my bed and curled my knees to my chest. I heard a knock on my window and saw it was Blake. I quickly got up and opened my window, letting him in. He pulled me into his arms and I snuggled my head into his chest. I breathed in his scent, and felt my body relax into his arms.

"Angel, what's wrong?" He asked as I pulled back to look into his eyes. I pulled away and got the note. As Blake read it, his eyes grew darker with anger.

"Who gave this to you?" He growled.

"No one, it was in my room," I said, fidgeting with my top. He sniffed the paper, frowning.

"Whoever was in here, I will kill. No one threatens you, angel," he growled. I put my hand on his cheek, and he leaned into my touch. He wrapped me in his arms again, making me feel safe.

"Will you stay with me tonight?" I asked nervously. He smiled softly at me before kissing my forehead.

"Of course angel," he sad. I quickly went into my pj's as he stripped down into his boxers. I crawled into bed and into his arms. I draped my arm over his abs as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Goodnight angel, see you in the morning," he said, kissing the top of my head. I mumbled a goodnight back while getting comfortable. My head was on his bare chest, and I fell asleep to the steady beat of his heart.

Hey guys! So sorry for taking so long to update, but my volleyball schedule was hectic over the past few days. I know the chapter is shorter, but I'm really tired, so sorry about that, too. I'll update again by I think Wednesday night.
