There was so much blood everywhere. Somehow, this blood was much more disturbing to Kate. She had been buried deep in muerto blood before, even in her own blood. But, having her hands and arms in /his/ blood terrified her. Kate watched Javi with tears pouring from her eyes. He was still unconscious, the back of his head swelling up from whatever they hit him with. His face was bleeding, bleeding crimson red all over Kate's fingers and nails.

"H-hurry up!" Kate weeped, someone finally coming up to her with a first aid kit. "Where the fuck is Eleanor!?" Kate growled between her teeth, seeing the first aid kit ready to go. Kate couldn't help but be upset Eleanor was taking so long when Javi's life was on the line.

"I'll do it myself." Kate growled, basically causing the others to back up some in fear of the terrifying woman. "Hold pressure while I get my supplies ready." Kate's shaking fingers immediately went to open supplies, threading a needle, and getting packing for his face after she was done in case he continued to bleed.

Kate was shaking, thinking back to a time long ago before the world went to shit when she healed before. She remembered bandaging Gabe's busted knee, and Mari's paper cuts like it was yesterday. Unfortunately, this was totally different, and ten times more as scary.

Since the world they had known had come and gone, Kate had learned basic first aid survival skills. She had actually sewn Javier up before. She remembered it like it was yesterday.

Javi had accidentally gotten cut by a broken piece of metal poking from a car. The injury had sliced through his jeans, fresh down to his thigh.

"Holy fuck!!" Javi cried out, the searing pain and fear settling in as he knocked down the muerto, which caused this to happen. Javi's bat bashed the muerto skull violently into the ground.

Kate was only a few feet away, but she was instantly running over to him, kneeling down. "Gabe, Mari, go grab the first aid kit!" Kate spoke, taking control of the situation as she knelt by Javi, pressing her hands over his, onto his injury. "Javi! How....how did this happen?!" Kate asked, a hint of panic in her tone as his blood began to soak through his hands and hers.

Back then, she still didn't admit to herself her true feelings for him. She was in denial about it, but the feelings obviously still existed. Even if they were buried deep inside. He moved his hands over hers to press down, causing Kate to look away as she had some blush in her cheeks.

"Muerto knocked me into the car...I took the muerto down but he knocked me back into this." Javi pointed to the sharp piece of metal, gritting his teeth. "I was so /stupid/." Javi grimaced, but Kate just shook her head. She looked back to him, determined.

"You are not stupid. Not stupid at all. Do you hear me?" Kate asked, moving her hands away from him to see his injury.

Gabe and Mari were still searching, which caused her to grimace. This could be deadly for him. He could easily get an infection, or even tetanus. Nothing left was so clean, after all.

"Wow....you did really mess up." Kate joked, weakly, trying to remain in control of the situation. Javi just laughed, dryly, quickly replacing his hands over the injury.

"You going to stitch me up, Katherine?" Javi spoke, causing Kate to glare at him. He knew how badly she hated her real name. Now he had earned a well put slap to his shoulder.

"Just for that, you've earned a slow and painful stitch." Kate spoke, narrowing her eyes playfully at his, seeing the kids begin to come over.

"Take your pants off, now." Kate spoke, which even surprised her own self. But there was reason for it. Javi seemed surprised by her words as well, almost forgetting his injury was on his thigh.
