Y/N P.O.V
You stipped off the now worn down silk material from your body, letting Wilson once again tend to it then replace the cloth with a fresh and sterile one. You can't seem to wrap your head around how you got here. Wilson tried to explain it once, but that ultimately ended in making even him confused. Today, you requested to take a trip to the place in which you arrived here, and Wilson obliged. You two trekked for about 15 minutes before finally arriving at the desired destination. All that was there was an unusual looking elavated arched structure, and the extra details on it made you feel uneasy.
After you and Wilson messing about with it for a while, something went a little wrong.
After a little, almost monotonous, squeal erupted from thin air, a girl that looked much taller than you or Wilson laid on the ground, hand over her forehead. She had two long ponytails and messy bangs,an outfit which seemed to almost accompany Wilson's and a teddy bear.
Wilson immediately rushed to her side and helped her up.
"Are you o-"
"Who are you two?!" She immediately snapped at you and Wilson, cutting off your attempt to make sure she was okay.
"My name is Wilson. This is my partner, Y/N" Wilson replied to her.
The girl immediately shook his hand off her.
"Partner? Are you two like..."
"No" You immediately replied.
"I'm just his...science partner" You slightly trailed off at the end of your sentence. She nodded, only now did you notice her pure white eyes.
"My name is Willow" She said, before asking what this place was.
Neither you nor Wilson knew how to respond.
"Let me show you our camp" Wilson said in the most friendliest way possible, Willow hesitantly nodding before following you and Wilson to the camp.
"Is anyone else here?" Willow asked. You looked towards Wilson, wondering the same thing as Willow.
"As far as i know of, us 3 are the only people on this...island thing" He said. Willow nodded and wandered around the camp, playing with a lighter.
You could tell how anxious Wilson was growing whenever Willow lit a flame near some man-made and flammable structure.
"Not bad" She commented.
"But it could use some improvements"
"Both of us haven't been here very long, so this is all we have so far" You stated, earning a nod in response.
"Ah. Ok."
You sat next to Wilson, and felt like giving him a hug due to all of the nervousness radiating from him. He seemed oddly out of character. Maybe he was more introverted than you anticapated? You subconsciously shifted closer to Wilson, sensing him relaxing from comfort.
Willow raised an eyebrow at you two, before clicking her match on and lighting a bright fire at the bonfire pit. Wilson looked up.
"Oh yes. It is geting quite dark. Oh and Willow, don't go into the pitch blackness at night.."
"Why not-"
"Trust us"
You butted into Willow's inquiry, her tensing up a bit before grabbing her bear.
You turned to Wilson, who's gaze was already softened onto you. He quickly and sharply shot his eyes to the opposite direction, avoiding eye contact. As if he was hiding something. You narrowed your eyes and stood up.
Willow's eyes trailed to your torso.
"Why do you have that around your stomach?"
"The same reason why you shouldn't go out into the darkness at night" You replied, her eyebrows knitting together as she nervously pursed her lips. You got a quiet "Oh" in response.
"I will make us food. Tomorrow i will need to restock on our supplies" Wilson announced, prancing over to the fire and cooking up some variety of meat with birch nuts.
You sat down next to him, noticing how he scooted a little more closer to you. Your shoulders and left & right arms were touching, sending chills down your spin as you felt your face heat up. It was a weird sensation, one that you couldn't explain the cause of. With a new girl here, you couldn't help but have the feeling that you needed to be closer and closer to Wilson. Whenever Willow got near him you felt a spark of jealousy. You didn't know why. It's been a while since you've come to terms with your feelings. Who knows what Wilson thinks of you.
Wilson passed a bowl of food to you, with a set of cutlery, and passed one to Willow as well. The 3 of you sat in a circle and ate, occasionally sparking up little dialogues of discussion. When you all were finished, Wilson packed away the bowls and cutlery.
"You two should get some sleep" He stated, putting more flammable material into the raging fire to keep it from dimming. Willow just nodded and laid down on the grass, Wilson passing her a sheet of silk to provide further warmth. You laid next to where Wilson was sitting. No, you weren't planning on sleeping. You wanted to stay up with him. Every few minutes or so Wilson would look down at you to see how you were sleeping. When he noticed you were awake, he sighed.
"Can't sleep?" He asked, messing around with the fire with the stick in his hand. You nodded and sat up, staring at the crackling fire. You felt an arm go around you for a split second, then quickly retract. You slightly leaned on Wilson after that, as if a way of giving him permission. He rested his arm around you again, and your heart sprang out of your chest.
You felt warm and comforted, and this scientist was the reason.
