June's POV
"June! Luke's here!" Aunt Joy yelled from downstairs. I immediately reached for my wallet and my phone on my dresser and ran down the steps.
I wasn't entirely ecstatic about this little lunch date but I didn't want to be rude especially since Malia was the one who invited us.
Ashton won't be able to go since Harry starts soccer camp today. Luke on the other hand, didn't seem excited about this, too.
"Bye, Aunt Joy!" I yelled as I open the front door so she would know that I already left. I saw Luke parked in the driveway so I walked over to him.
"Hey, where are we eating?" That caught blondie's attention, "Oh, uh this pizzeria downtown, thay have the most amazing pizza ever. Hop on."
The ride on the way to Ashton's only took a couple of minutes and when we got there, Malia was already waiting outside.
We got to the pizzeria in about 10 minutes after and the whole ride, it was just Luke and Malia talking which I was thankful for.
"This pizza is the best!" Malia exclaimed with her mouth full of pizza. "I could definitely eat this all day."
"Told ya the pizza here is good." Luke took a bite of his sliced pizza, devouring the goodness. So did I, I try to focus on my food instead of interacting with my companions for today.
"June, do you like the pizza?" Malia asked me which totally ruined my not talking plan, but I guess I had to talk some time. "Sure, it's delicious.
I went back to eating my pizza when she talked again, "We haven't really had the chance to talk. I'm sorry, it's just Luke and I have lots to catch up with."
"Oh no, it's fine. You two can talk all day, you deserve it." Please leave me alone. Please leave me alone.
"No! It's rude. Plus I didn't invite you to lunch so I could talk to Luke alone. I want to talk to you. I want to know more about the girl my best friend is dating." Well, this is what I was avoiding. Of course this is all just about Calum.
"There's really nothing to tell. I'm not that interesting."
"Nonsense! If there isn't anything interesting about you, Calum wouldn't even like you." Well, excuse you! Thank you for that. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound like a bitch I just, knowing Calum-"
"I'm not his type. I know." I took the words out of her mouth. I very well knew that, but what does she know, she was never here in about seven years. Who is she to talk about Calum's type.
Right, because it was her, she was Calum's type.
"June is really amazing and that's why Calum loves her." Luke answered for me, he must've sensed that I was getting uncomfortable with her.
"They actually started hating each other but Calum later on fell for her, it was cute. Their love story is cute." Glad you thought it that way, Luke. Our love story is far from cute, it was more of dramatic because of all the secrets and lies.
"Awhh that's cute! But why did Calum hate you? I mean, Calum's not the type to hate people." Woah, wait. He is far from 'not the type to hate people'. He is the complete opposite.
Luke nervously chuckled at her statement and tried to change topic, "Yeah well just things."
"Well, the only person he hated before was Eric, and that's just because you hung out with him a lot." Okay I know Calum hates Eric but I didn't know it was because of Luke?
I turned to Luke, "Eric Jensen?" Once again, he nervously chuckled. Eric mentioned that he was friends with Luke and I guess I'm going to have an explanation now.
