I slowly moved from behind the bar to behind the recliner. "Come. I'd like you to meet them." Dad said. I moved a hair closer at the edge of the recliner. "Come around and find a seat." Dad said. I moved around and sat in the floor. One of the younger guys moved a seat over closer to the other one. I didn't move. "You remember David and Lane don't you?" Dad asked. I nodded.

They were almost like second dads. If something would have happened to both of my parents I'd be sent to live with one or the other. They'd usually send Christmas presents from their family to us. The two younger boys looked like younger versions of their dads. I could tell which was which son. "Oh those two don't bite." David said. "Depends on who it is." The one that looked similar to David said.

He had almost black hair cut short not shaggy surfer like. I honestly couldn't tell what color his eyes were from where I was sitting. The other one had lighter almost brownish blonde hair. I couldn't tell what his eye color was either, but he sure was quiet. The quiet one looked like Lane though and Lane wasn't much of a talker. "Blake won't hurt ya girl he'd rather sit quietly than mess with you." Lane said. Blake moved closer to David's son.

I stood up and moved awkwardly over to that seat. I sat as close to the arm as I could. As I sat there I became comfortable sitting next to him that I hadn't realized that I was closer to him than I planned to be. He even relaxed as I sat there and had moved closer to me. He threw his arm around the back of the couch and let out a deep breath.

I still have yet to learn the other guy's name. "Look who only said one sentence tonight. Introduce yourself." David said. "Justin." The guy next to Blake said. "Desiree." I said quietly. "They couldn't hear you." Dad said. "We going to school tomorrow?" I asked. "Well David and Lane were thinking about moving here so we could hang out more." Dad said.

"Meaning?" I asked. "Blake and Justin will be going to school with you." Lane said. Justin's head popped from the tv. "Wait is that why you had me pack all of my clothes?" He asked. "I told you that we were moving closer to friends and that Lane and Blake were going to be living under the same roof." David said. "I wouldn't worry about it now dude. Least we were able to get away and have a place for our horses." Blake whispered where I could hear.

"We were going to go back to get the rest of Lane and I's clothes along with our horses." David said. "So we're going to be here for the weekend?" Blake asked. "Yeah. Looks like it. You both know to be on your best behavior. We've got to hit the road in about an hour. You boys have enough clothes to get by for five weeks and multiple years as long as you don't outgrow them." David said.

Justin scoffed. "And where are we to sleep?" He asked. "The room closest to the bathroom. There's already two twin beds in there that the both of y'all will fit on." Dad said. "The three of us already worked out the bed situation until we return." David said. Justin nodded. "So this means that we have to go to bed early?" Justin asked. "When I tell her to." Dad said. "Which will be after your dads leave."

Both boys nodded. Blake got up and left the living room. Justin glanced at me before standing and following. I sat still until Justin came back. The bathroom door closed. "Is he getting a shower?" Lane asked. "Yeah." Justin said. "He just looked like he was storming out of the room." Lane said. "That's why I went to ask." Justin said. I yawned on the spot.

I was picked up and moved to the middle cushion of the couch. Justin threw his arm around the back of the couch. Blake came back in, in basketball shorts and a tee shirt. Justin stood up and went out. The bathroom door closed a few seconds later. Blake put his arm on the back of the couch seeing how tired I am. "Tired?" He whispered. I nodded.

I moved closer to lean on him. Somehow he didn't honestly mind.
