I stood in the middle of the old paddock. The slab has already been expanded twice. Alex and Cody offered to help the crew dig. They decided to take this season off going to a rodeo when we weren't expanding the barn. The whole crew went ahead and laid most of the concrete over the drainage system leaving the beams to be done later. Tomorrow the steel and concrete crew are putting in two more beams so we can continue with expansion so far we've been able to do two to three beams at a time. We're almost to twenty beans. While the concrete was being laid for the stalls we put metal poles in for the corners of the stalls.
These stalls are deeper than the others and have a lifted floor along with various drains so all of the liquids go to the drains at the very bottom. They even tested each drain to make sure they worked. I went to work on the stalls getting them ready for the horses occupying them in the future. The sides and roofing are already up on the first two beams. The loft apartment will be expanded or we can use that for our hay storage. It was two weeks until my twentieth birthday. I've sold at least two colts per week I started this summer with fifteen new colts and have one left.
That plus the income from my rented fillies has been running this project. I walked back through the original part of the barn to the front. That same beat up truck that has been coming by once a month all summer rolled down the driveway. I've always turned away from whoever it was. This time I went into the office to check the bank account.

"I'm tired of her walking the other way or ignoring the fact that we're not competing this year and sticking around here to help Carson and Jared." Justin said as we were about to get out. I've been keeping my mouth shut on the situation. All summer I've kept it shut. "Blake." I looked over at my best friend. "What?" I asked. "I just asked you if you wanna go back to the house." He said. "This is bs." I muttered before getting out. I went right to the office and opened the door. I then locked it behind me before going to her office.
I didn't knock only entered. I locked that door behind me knowing only she had the key to unlock it. "What do you want?" She asked. "I want to talk." I said. Her head shot up. She looked like she saw a ghost. I'm pretty sure I looked intimidating to someone else other than her.

I honestly couldn't say a word as he stood in front of me. "I'm waiting on a reply." He said. "I'm not giving one." I told him. "I would if I was you." He said. "Still not. So you and your buddy can leave and not bother me." I told him as I went back to my computer screen. I finished the totals and turned it off. Hands were set on my desk. "I know you've seen Justin lose his temper, you have yet to see me lose mine. I don't think you want me to right now. You'll regret seeing that side of me." He said.
"I don't care." I smarted off. I'm pretty sure I can push him and make him break into this little temper of his. "You might wanna." He said. "Why?" I asked. His face was two shades darker now and still getting darker. "I suggest you start talking before I make you talk, and in the past I've been very successful at it." He said getting closer to my face. I stood up matching his stance. "I wouldn't push me over the edge. You have not seen my temper or how b***hy I can be. I don't think you want me to go there today." I told him.
"Try me." He said. "I'm sick and tired of you and him not keeping the promises you both made then don't keep them. You both need to grow a pair of balls and stick to one at a time before promising the next thing." I told him. "Then why don't you tell him that?" He asked getting closer. "Because he can't get it through his skull." I said getting even closer. We were so close our noses were almost touching. He didn't say anything else as he backed away. "Then I guess he and I finally got something in common." He said before unlocking the door and leaving. Once the door was closed I sat back in the chair almost tipping it back.
Cody came in. "Hey. I found one of the sons from the person that owns the King Ranch." He said. "Get the f*** out of my office." I yelled. He quickly turned on his heel and left. What am I doing with my life? I then got up from my chair and locked the door. I then drew the curtains and plopped down into my chair. As much as I want them back they're going to have to work to get me back. The door knob tried to turn before there was a knock at it. "Go away." I yelled.
"Then would I have enough balls if I stayed at the door until you had to come out?" Justin yelled. I've had enough.
Justin
"I'm going to tell you this before he gets back. You have to be the one that does not argue back." Carson said before walking off as Blake walked up. "Your turn." He said. Well here goes my plan.

I rolled my chair around to in front of my desk. If he wants to play the waiting game, I can play too. I've got food, water and a bathroom. He won't move unless he has to use the bathroom, knowing him.
