I phase through the door into the Breach Room and go over to the control panel. There are three men in the room, and one of them calls out, "I wouldn't do that if I were you!" I ignore him and flip a few switches to destabilize the breach. Then I phase back out of the room and hit the alarm to get Barry and Caitlin down here.

I stick my head through to evaluate our "visitors." There are three men. One man is tall, with high cheekbones, who looks like he's analyzing me. It creeps me out—I feel like a mouse under the sharp gaze of a hawk.

The other man is brown haired and kind of short. He looks pretty average, but the fact that he's not damaged from a five-meter drop speaks for itself. He's also the one who called out to warn me, even though he didn't know who I was. He's tending to the last man, who is damaged from the fall. The last man reminds me of the way Joe carries himself, but I can't quite place why.

Still, the other two—tall guy and shortish guy—look dangerous enough to have been sent by Zoom. I have to be sure Zoom didn't send them, so I pull out of the door and hit the KO gas switch.

I'm still recovering from seeing a man walk through solid steel when three things happen simultaneously: the lights go out, Greg crumples over, and I smell something pleasant-smelling——it must be halothane. Again, my reactions take over and I hold my breath. Sherlock does the same. I can hold my breath for 3 and a half minutes, but I bet Sherlock can hold his for longer. Still, we'll both have to breathe eventually.

By now, Barry's here. Caitlin comes in while we're waiting for the breachers to get KOed. I quickly summarize what happened.

As I expected, the limping one collapses immediately. The other two are surprisingly resilient. The shorter one holds on for 3 minutes, but the taller one only makes it to 2. Not as strong as I thought, I guess.

I carefully open the door, with a sonic wave blast at the ready, but no one stirs. Barry quickly whisks the breachers to The Pipeline while I teleport there... Only to see Barry locked in combat.

When I see Sherlock crumple at 2 minutes, I figure out our plan. Let them think we're knocked out, then catch them unawares.

However, when a guy enters the room, he pulls me out before I can even react. I just see the world blur around me, with streaks of red and gold...lightning? Then I'm in a cell, looking out. I see the lightning rush by again and catch a glimpse of Greg, then the cell next to me slams shut.

The lightning whizzes past me again, but suddenly it stops and turns into a man dressed in red fighting Sherlock. I throw myself against the glass that serves as a cell door to try to break it, but nothing happens.

Lightning Man moves incredibly fast, and each of his punches looks like it's got lightning crackling around it. He gets a couple of good punches in, and Sherlock jerks each time. That has got to hurt.

It's clearly a biased fight, but Sherlock gets some good hits in. He almost flips Lightning Man over his head, but every time Sherlock touches him, lightning covers Sherlock's arms, which looks awful.

Suddenly, Lightning Man starts running around Sherlock, creating a crackling circle of lightning. Sherlock tries to grab him, but the lightning rushes up his arm in an especially large bolt. Lightning Man snaps his hand out and touches Sherlock. All of his energy from running jumps down his arm into Sherlock's shoulder, and Sherlock crumples.

"Sherlock!" I cry out.
