A Beautiful Mess - A Before You Exit Story *On Hold*

Tegan's POV

When I woke up, we had left New York and were heading for the next venue. Riley had left the back lounge at some point as I found myself alone on the sofa. He had probably left to avoid any problems with Thomas. 

"Morning Silvers." Connor said as he walked into the room, no shirt on, but one thrown over his shoulder. 

I sat almost in shock as I looked him up and down. I had never realized how nice his figure was.

"Stop checking me out." Connor said as he pulled the shirt on. 

"Sorry." I said as I turned away blushing.

"So, any idea what's up with Thomas and Riley?" Connor asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Thomas has been giving Riley death glares for the past half hour. I came in here to get away from them before they start ripping each others throats out." He said as he sat down.

No sooner did he say that than Toby and Chris walked in, looking more scared than anything.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I sat up, giving the boys more room to sit.

"Thomas is yelling at Riley, again." Toby said.

I rolled my eyes before standing and making my way out of the back lounge. As I stood infront of Thomas and Riley, Riley gave me a sympathetic look as Thomas had his back towards me and continued to rant to Riley.

"Thomas." I said, only to fail at getting his attention.

"Thomas!" I said a little louder.

"What?!?" He yelled as he spun around to look at me.

"Just leave Riley alone! I can handle myself!" I said angrily.

"I don't want him to do what he did to Alli to you!" Thomas yelled.

"Don't." Riley snarled.

"And if I do? What're you going to do?" Thomas asked with a smirk.

"Can someone just fill me in on what's going on already?!?" I yelled.

Riley let out a sigh before turning towards me wih a look that begged to just let it go for right now.

"Tell her McDonough." Thomas said with crossed arms.

"We dated for a month. I broke up with her because SHE was cheating on me. Then I told the tabloids all about it. Apparently that made me the bad person." He said.

"That's it?" I asked, sarcasm lacing my voice. 

"That's it?!? Are you kidding me?!?" Thomas yelled.

"Thomas! Just shut up!" I yelled back.

"Why can't you just listen to me?" He asked.

"Because you're not giving me good reason to." I responded.

"Fine, whatever." He said before turning and throwing himself onto the sofa in the front lounge.  

I turned to look at Riley before taking his hand and leading him back to the back lounge where the others were playing video games.

"How'd that go?" Connor asked.

"Just fine." I said as I sat down, pulling Riley with me.

"Guess so." Chris said with a grin as he took notice to Riley and I's hands, still entwined as we sat together.

"You guys are so rebellious." Toby said as he looked at the TV, completely focused on whatever video game they were playing.

"What fun would it be not to be rebellious?" I asked.
