"I mean, you didn't seem to afraid to do it last ni-"
He lightly kissed your lips and moved away slightly.
"I'll um, uh, write to you and I mean, obviously see you again this upcoming week."
Your goodbyes were awkward and short, but got the message straight. You couldn't wait to see him again, in all honesty. He made you feel all weird inside. It made you know that you were legitimately crushing hard. It was almost painful for someone like you to be helpless, however, it wasn't impossible considering you were.
Now all you could do was survive the week.

3 Days Later
March 19th
7:06pmLetters were exchanged frequently. He sent you many many messages at a time to show much much he cares. You thought his actions were adorable. Every single one was heartfelt and honest. So of course, whenever mail came, you sprinted to the door.
Like today when mail came by the adult mailman. Quickly grabbed the envelope and thanked him. Slamming the door behind you, you tore open the seal and read the letter.
You never acted this way towards anyone.
You were happy.
Someone could go as far as to say you were in love.
You held the paper with an idiotic smile on your face.
Dearest (Y/N),
It seems as if you have put a spell on me. I cannot concentrate on my work or my duties. I can only see your saddened face, watching me leave you with uncertain return. I want to see you again. This drag has taken a toll on me. Please, let me see your smile, hear you ramble, and kiss you again before I may never again. With all my heart,
Aaron Burr
By this time, you were running upstairs to get washed up so you could get over there as soon as possible.

Tired and red eyed, Burr shot his eyes open at the sight of you. He was in his night wear and looked like a complete mess. He smiled from ear to ear when he realized you were really there. You set down your basket as you walked towards him. Aaron wrapped his arms around you and spun you around like you would disappear forever if he didn't. It wasn't breathtaking like Lafayette had done to you weeks ago, it was slow but just as meaningful and worthy. You looked at his face while giggling.
He was happy.
When he finally came to a stop, he just marveled at your appearance. You picked up your basket as he led you inside his home. He sat you down on the couch once again and said that he'd freshen up.
This couch held the setting of your first kiss.
You weakly smiled and nibbled on a cookie. On a normal day, you'd scarf a homemade cookie down your face, but you were too lost in thought.
'Gosh, he looked like he was crying. Was he going to break ties with me before war or was it just over the war itself? Am I bothering him? It doesn't seem like it, but I never know what is and what isn't anymore. All I ever think about is whether or not I'm going to see him again. Do I lo-'
