"Sorry for the wait", Aaron said while straightening his shirt out some. He was wearing his slippers, trousers, and white shirt. He must've only been gone for a few minutes. "I still can't believe you're here", he said with a happy sigh. "Why wouldn't I be? I came as soon as I received your letter." He gave you a confused look. "When did you get it?" "Around 7:00, why?" He puffed. "I sent it before you would've awoken this morning, so you it would've been the first thing you thought about today." As the pieces started to become more clear to the puzzle, you were more aware of what happened. "Did you think that I wouldn't have come to- Oh, no! I'd- Of course I would've came to see you before you left. I was going to tomorrow morning, but-" You started to tear up. "Aaron, it would simply be too much to take."
He knelt down in front of you and watched you try to dry your face with your hands. He grabbed your hands and just held them. "I realized something fundamental today." "What?", you asked a little grittily. "I don't like seeing you cry." He rubbed your cheek gently and moved himself forward to where he was sitting next to you. He pulled you over to where you were sitting on his leg and yours were draped across the couch to the armrest. You leaned into his chest and hugged his waist.
After a moment you looked up at him. "You're going to stay alive. You hear me? I don't want to find you dead in a field of grass. I don't know what I'd do..." Aaron pouted. "You'd cry." You pushed yourself up to kiss his cheek. "I know", you muttered.
He nodded then gave you a peck on the lips. Aaron acted like he was fine with leaving it as that until he kissed you again only longer and more of a 'Hey-I'm-probably-going-to-die-and-never-see-you-again' kiss. It made sense for the time being.
It was a peaceful night of you and Aaron eating a bunch of cookies, until you both passed out on the couch in each other's arms.

1773. An anti-slavery rally in New Jersey. Of course you showed up from New York to support the cause, but you dressed in "different attire". You were inside the building listening to the spokesperson explain the many cons of slavery. However, you were scared shitless that British soldiers were going to break up the meet."The toxic and prejudice thoughts and actions that will flood our children if we don't take a stand!"
Everyone is the room was jumping and shouting. It didn't help that the place was cram-packed. You were being pushed and shoved and soon fell to the floor. Turns out you weren't the only one.
"OW! My ass bone!"
You looked in the direction on the voice to be a few feet away from you also desperately trying to stand up. Your eyes met for a moment until you pried yourself up and reached down for the stranger. Things were looking up when he actually grabbed your hand.
You both walked to a table in the back and ordered drinks drinks. Still being dazed from the incident, he thanked you. "Well, I wouldn't have just left you there." He laughed in response. When the drinks came, he held up the glass to you. "In honor of helping me off of my boney butt, saving me from a human stampede, and the start of a friendship. To- um..." You didn't know why you did it but you did. You untied your hair. "(Y/N) Mulligan." His eyes nearly popped out of his head. "You a freaking woman- how in the- you- I'm- I- well- shit."
He downed his glass and looked you in the eye with a huge smile.
"Hi, Johnny! I'm (Y/N)!", he yelled like an idiot. All you could do was giggle.
**You were nudged awake. You groaned and tossed over, but you were only met with falling on the floor. You jumped up to see Aaron with a bag around his shoulder. Even though it was extremely early in the morning, you knew what was about to happen.
