Addie's POV

"Thank you for making breakfast," I smile to my mom. She smiles back.

"Of course honey. Go get Brynn. She needs to eat too," she commands me politely, so I start to head up the stairs. I went to bed right after she was reunited with Michael, so I have no idea what happened after that.

I proceed up the stairs, jogging over to Brynn's room. Right as I am about to open the door, she does. Her hair is done up neatly instead of being down like normal. She is going light on the makeup instead of caking it on. Along with that, her outfit is more respectable. Instead of barely anything, she is wearing a sweater and jeans along with boots and a scarf.

"Oh hey Addie," she smiles happily. Her smile looks genuine.

"W-what happened?" I question realistically, barely being able to make out my words. She looks so different. Brynn laughs.

"Let me say a certain someone helped me open my eyes to what's really important," she admits happily.

     "Where'd he go?" I question.

"He had to get back to where he's staying for the next couple of months. His friends would flip if they knew he was here," she closes the door behind her, so now she is standing in the hallway with me. Brynn was pretty before, but it was a different pretty. It was a fake pretty. Now, she looks naturally beautiful.

"Why?" why does it matter that he was here? It's his choice to see her.

"They were all hurt in some way when I left. Oh, and thank you for finding Michael," she gives me a hug, wrapping her arms around me.

"Why do you think it was me?" I try to cover up my tracks. Knowing Brynn, she could blow up at any second about me invading her privacy.

"Because I found a certain video being played on your tv," she laughs. "If you are trying to hide something from me, you are going to have to try harder." She starts to walk around me, slinging a little bag over her shoulder.

"Breakfast is ready," I tell her, but she shrugs in response.

"I have to go somewhere important. I'll be back in an hour," she informs me, practically running out of the house.

Michael's POV

"We just did that!" Sergio cheers once we get off stage. We just performed on the finale of The X-Factor in front of thousands of people. It was insane.

"I'm so proud of us," Chance says, wrapping his arms around us and bring us into a group hug. We all hug each other back.

"Boys, we need to get going. There's an interview you guys need to be at in twenty minutes," John tells us, gesturing towards the door. We listen, still hyped.

"I call the front!" Drew announces, making the rest of us groan.

"Nope. I'm sitting in the front," John overrules Drew, getting in the front seat. The rest of us pile in the back seats, Brady and I getting sent to the very back.

"Where were you last night?" Brady whispers. Of course someone noticed,

"What?" I ask, pretending to not know what he's talking about.

"I woke up in the middle of the night, and you disappeared," he tells me.

"I wasn't tired. I went outside to take a walk," I lie. I feel guilty, but he'd be upset if he found out I was with Brynn. All of the guys want me to distance myself from her.

"You should've woke me up. We could've walked together," Brady laughs, making me smile.

---

"Run guys! We're five minutes late," John tells us as soon as we pull up to a huge studio like building. It is several stories high.

"Where are we supposed to go?" Chance asks as we all climb out of the car.

"Stage 7," he responds as if we are supposed to know where that is. We all run into the building with no idea where to go.

"Left, right, or straight?" Drew asks us.

"Foot, cockroach, nuclear bomb. If I win, we go right. If Brady wins, we go left. If we tie, we go straight," Chance announces. Brady wins, so we go left. We use that process several more times before we groan.

"We're so lost," Drew announces. Sergio shrugs.

"We're fine. If all else fails, we have some chicken dinosaurs," he tries to bring up the positive, pulling some chicken dinosaurs out of his pocket.

"And pizza snacks," Brady pulls some pizza snacks out of his pocket.

"I've got some hi-chews," I admit, pulling out various flavor of hi-chews out of my pocket.

"Look there's someone down the hall," Drew points to a figure looking around in the distance.

"Excuse me!" Chance yells to the person, making their head turn. As they get nearer I can tell who it is, Veronica, Brynn's mom. I feel like she doesn't like me. I don't know why, but it's just a gut feeling.

"Are you give the boys I'm supposed to be interviewing?" she asks, putting her hands on her hips.

"Probably. We got lost," Drew admits as I run a hand through my hair. Veronica looks over all of us, frowning once she gets on me.

"Well come on then," she commands us, starting to walk away.

---

That whole interview was so awkward. Veronica kept glaring at me the whole time. I honestly don't know what I did wrong.

"That interviewer hated you Michael," Sergio laughs as we walk back out to the car, not getting lost this time.

"I know. I have no idea what I did," I answer honestly. The other guys shrug. We quickly reach the car, and I climb into the backseat before picking up my phone. I have 3 missed calls from Addie.

"Who's Addie?" Sergio asks with a small smirk on his face.

"One of Jeremiah's friends," I answer honestly calling her back.

"I've tried calling you three times! Where were you?" Addie scolds through the phone like an angry mom.

"I was at an interview," I tell her.

"By any chance are you with Brynn? Or has she contacted you at all today?" she questions.

"No. Should I be?" I answer nervously. Addie sighs.

      "Michael, Brynn went missing."
