Michael's POV

"It's so early there," Brynn admits, a small frown on her face. She's lying on a bed in a hotel somewhere in Japan.

"It's late there. You should be sleeping," I tell her, but she just shrugs.

"You should be sleeping," she tells me, and I roll my eyes under my sunglasses that I'm wearing even though I'm in a car.

"It's eleven there," I tell her. She shrugs.

"It's six there," she says back.

"That's a reasonable time, and it's not my choice to be up. You, on the other hand, can be sleeping," I inform her. She frowns.

"But why go to sleep when I know I could be talking to you?" she asks, sitting up now.

"Where are you now, anyways?" I decide to change the subject.

"Tokyo. Lucky for me, I'm playing two shows here in a row, so I don't need to sleep in a tour bus," she exclaims, playing with the ends of her hair.

"At least you get to play shows. We're just doing a ton of interviews and promotion," I look out the tinted window to see a long line of people.

"Is that what you're going to?" she asks before reaching over to grab one of the various stuffed animals I've gotten her.

"Yeah, but they're sending us all to different places since the booked too much on one day. Along with that, we have to go to a photo shoot, and the guys are trying to throw me a birthday party. We won't have time for it. Tomorrow has a packed schedule," I groan. Sometimes I believe management forgets that we're humans, not robots. We'll get back at one in the morning and have to get up at four to fit in everything.

"I wish I could be there for your birthday. You're turning 21!" Brynn admits sadly.

"It's not like there's actually going to be time to do anything tomorrow anyways," I say.

"I'd force them to let you go," she laughs. "I could cause a scene that would make them have no choice but to let you go. I can be really dramatic," she admits, flailing herself back onto her bed.

"I don't doubt that. You always manage to get your way. You're very persistent," I laugh, and she nods.

"Almost always. There have been times where I have failed. Those times, however, were horrible," she frowns, probably thinking back at times with her dad, who is one of the most stubborn people out there.

"Let's not think about any of that," I speak up as soon as I see the look on her face. Horror was stuck on her face. If I could, I would reach right through my phone and be there with her, physically.

"You're right. Anyways... what do you want for your birthday? And tell the truth," she urges, back to her prior mood. Her eyes are bright, and she's waiting for my answer even though she already knows it.

"You know already," I tell her, and she frowns. The one thing I want, more than anything, is to be able to make my relationship public. It's getting tiring to have to dodge around the "relationship status" question when it comes up every day. It's also tiring to see all of the other things floating around the internet of random guys, famous or not, flirting with Brynn. Some of them are recent too. I want to let the world know that I'm happy with her, but management, both of ours, say no.

Brynn's management hated that Brynn got into a relationship right after breaking up with James. They were pissed off, saying it would "ruin her image" to be in a relationship this quick after a two year relationship. Along with that, they didn't want to give my band publicly. They're trying to create a new boy band, and the last thing they'd want to do is hype up the competing boy band even more.
