Eleven p.o.v
It's been a month since I started school and I think I'm doing pretty good, I know more words, and I can understand people better now. I still ask a lot of questions but not as much as before.
Right now Hopper is dropping me off at school. It's Friday so I'm really happy, he said that we were gonna have a movie night with CANDY! I don't get much candy, something about 'things floating' when I get too hyped.
"Okay kiddo, have a nice day and no using powers" he said kissing my forehead.
"You don't need to tell me that everyday, it's been a month into school and I'm doing great" I said smiling.
"And I'm proud, but you still need to be careful" he said.
"I know I know, see you after school" I said getting off the car and closing the car door very carefully. Why? Well because in my first day of school, I was so excited.. I mean can you blame me.. anyways I was so excited that when I got off the car I slammed the door so hard that it kinda maybe might have detached from the car. Hopper did not give eggos for a whole WEEK! I'm not risking it again.
"Okay bye kiddo" he said driving off.
I started to walk towards the school entrance to see Max waiting for me like she always does. She waves at me once I was on sight smiling at me, and I returned it with a small smile myself.
"Good morning El" she said linking arms with me
"Good morning, where are the guys?" I asked walking through the halls that I love so much.
"Went to do some science thing, the science fair is tomorrow so they are going crazy" she explain.
"Okay" I said as we sat down in our seat, which happens to be right next to each other. We might have begged the teacher for five days straight after school until he got tired and switch our seats. The bell ringed and everybody seat down. Mike seats in the front row. I haven't seen him all morning well since I got to school which was 10 minutes ago. As he walked in, he looked at me and smiled and I couldn't help but smile back feeling this tingly sensation on my stomach, I get it everytime I'm around him. I'm not sure what it is but I don't think it's bad.
"Okay everybody I have some big news, today is a special day, not only because it's Friday but because we have a new student joining us. Please be nice to her" the teacher said. Just as he finished a girl with very light almost blonde hair walked in, she was really pretty. Had long hair, a light pink dress, she looked like a princess. I couldn't help but stare and wished that I looked like her, everybody was staring at her! Even the guys, and Mike looked stunned, his eyes were glued to her and it made feel this burning sensation inside making me slightly mad.
"Look at them, they look dumbfounded, like zombies, with their mouth open. Jeez I know she is pretty but I've seen better" Max snarled bitterly.
"She IS really pretty" I stated looking away from Mike.
"Yeah well it's not only her looks that count" she said.
"Yeah I guess so" I said.
"Well class this is our new Student Isabella Haynes. Welcome to Hawkins school. Take it seat right next to Michael, mike raise your hand" the teacher said and Mike's hand was up faster then one could blink which made me even more annoyed.
"Careful there we don't want your arm falling off" the teacher said laughing and he blushed.
UGH!
"Okay class open your book to page eleven on your textbooks, today we will be leading just how powerful our minds are" he said and I chuckled at that.
Let me tell you really powerful!
As the class went by I couldn't help but keep glancing at Mike. He was talking to Isabella and she kept giggling. It was killing me. It's only been 30 minutes and I already don't like her.
Soon enough the class was dismissed for lunch and we all walked to our table. Max and I kept talking about the new girl. Everybody was here except for Mike.
"Hey guys sorry for the delay, I was helping Bella pick up her lunch from the office" Mike said smiling happily, his cheeks had a red tint to it. What's wrong with him?
"Hi" Isabella said shyly from behind Mike.
"Hey" the boys said.
"I was thinking maybe she could sit with us since she doesn't have any friends" Mike said.
'Sure' and 'yeahs' was our answer.
She sat down next to Mike.
"I don't like her" Max whispered towards me.
"Me neither" I said.
"So Bella, where are you from?" Dustin asked. She looked at Dustin and then at Mike.
"She is from California just like Max" Mike spoke on her behalf.
Is she not able to speak for herself.
"Oh that's awesome" Dustin said.
"Do you have any other siblings?" Lucas added.
She looked at Mike again and he answered for her
"She has two. A smaller brother and a bigger sister" he said and I just couldn't take it. Does he know everything about her?
"El are you gonna eat those?" Dustin said pointing at my food.
"I'm not hungry. Here" I said handing him my food and getting up, grabbing my bag.
"You okay?" Will asked.
"I'm fine" I said
"Max you coming?" I asked.
"Yeah, see you guys later" Max said and I walked away but not before noticing that Mike was too concentrated with her to even know that wasn't there and that made me feel something that I haven't felt in a long time. Sadness.
I really don't like her and I'm afraid it will only get worse. I'm not looking towards it.
