"I let him go, it was the best for him" I said wiping my tears away
"Was it?" Max said.
"Yes he said he like her, he found someone better. I'm happy for him. It was only a matter of time." I said.
" time before he forgot about you?" She asked.
"Yes, Max I'm not what he needs, he will get over it" I said.
"The question is, will you?" She asked me.
"It's doesn't matter. I'm use to it" I said laying down on my bed.
"You deserve happiness too El" Max said.
"And I am happy, if he is happy" I said.
"Bullshit" she exclaimed.
"It's not, all I'm asking is for you to support my decision. I can't see him, and I'm not asking for you to not be his friend just not to force me to be around him" I said.
"Look I'm with you all the way. There is no choice to make, because I will always choose you El, you're my sister and sisters stick together! But what about the others, the rest of your friends" She asked.
"They are Mike's Friends more then they are mine, I can't make them choose." I said.
"Well this will be so awkward on Monday. I am not looking forward to it" she said sadly.
"I'm sorry about this, but if I don't put a barrier, if I don't put a wall up, then I'm gonna get hurt more then I already am" I finished.
"All I'm saying is that you deserve happiness and if Mike is not, then you find someone else!" She said.
"Can we just watch movies and eat ice cream, and cry together?" I asked.
"I'm not gonna cry, but I'll be here so you can soak my shirt" she said.
"That's all I need" I said tears in my eyes.
"This El, is called heartbreak" Max told me.
"I don't like it" I said crying.
"Yeah me neither" she said hugging me tightly.

MONDAY
I'm going to school, and it the first time I really don't want to go. Max is gonna wait for me in the side walk so Mike won't have a chance to talk to me.
I know I'm being harsh, but I'm doing this for myself. To not get hurt any further.
"You're quiet kiddo, everything okay?" Hopper asked looking at me
"Eyes on the road dad" I said.
"I know—wait did you just call me dad?" Hopper asked shocked.
"Umm...Yes.. is that okay?" I asked nervously.
"I've waited for so long and I'm so glad you feel comfortable enough to call me that" he said happily.
"Dad can you drop me off at the sidewalk I'm meeting Max there" I said nicely.
"Of course" he said happily.
The rest of the ride we talked about crazy things.
"See you after school and no powers" he said as I closed the door behind me and made my way to Max who was sitting down on a rock.
"Hey Max" I said linking arms with her.
"Good morning El" she said.
"Ready?" She asked.
"Let's go" I said walking by her side, my confidence vanish as I saw Mike arrive to school in his bike with Bella.
"Ouch" Max whispered to herself.
"Yeah that hurts" I said quietly.
"Let's go" Max said dragging me along the school yard.
"Hey guys wait up!" Dustin yelled with Lucas and Will by his side.
"Shut up!" Max said sternly.
"What?" Lucas asked confused.
"El and Mike broke up" Max sighted and they all gasped aloud.
"We didn't break up. We were never together" I said coldly.
"Wait back up, we are lost, what do you mean they broke up, why?" Will asked.
"He likes someone else" Max said.
"Bella?" Will asked softly.
"I don't want to talk about it, are you guys coming or what?" I asked sternly.
"Yes yes, let's go" Dustin said.
"El you can have my chocolate, I was gonna give it to Mike but he is an ass so I won't. Here" he said taking out his favorite chocolate. The three musketeers.
"But it's your favorite" I said
"But my friend needs it more than I do" he said smiling at me.
"Thank you, but don't be mad at Mike. It's not his fault" I said as we made our way to the classroom.
"he is stupid and brainwashed my Bella, because she is pretty. Hell yeah I'm mad. Plus I was suppose to have her not him" Dustin said sitting down in his seat.
"You don't want that bitch anyways" Max said sitting down next to me like always.
"You're right" Dustin said.
"She is a piece of crap" Dustin said.
"Who is crap?" Isabella said as she entered the classroom with Mike by her side and my stomach twisted so tight I couldn't breathe.
"the lunch lady" Will said.
"Do you guys want hang out after school at my house?" Isabella asked. So she broke out of her shell?
"I gotta visit my grandma" Dustin said quickly.
"Gotta help my little sister with her homework" Lucas said.
"I'm helping El with chemistry" Will said looking at me and I smiled.
"I don't want to go" Max said simply.
"Okay.. Mike?"She asked hopeful.
"Sure I'm free" Mike smiled.
"Jane?" Isabella asked smirking.
"I'm hanging out with Will" I said quietly.
"So you two are studying for Chemistry? I used that one before. Have fun you two" She said winking at Will.
"We are friends" I stated looking at her.
"I've heard that one before" she said smiling at me.
"Not all of us are whores like you" I said aloud.
"El!" Mike said defensively.
"My name is Jane!" I said before the bell rang. It was very quiet until our teacher came.
"Today we are learning the psychology behind feelings? Why do we have them?" He said.
"Fuck me in the as—" Dustin said.
"Dustin language!" Mr. Clarke said.
"Sorry" Dustin apologize.
"What are the chemicals that are released when we feel love, sadness, jealousy, everything. I'm so excited" Mr. Clarke said happily.
"But first, what part of our brain is responsible for the making of new memories. Hmm let me see... Jane. Do you know?" He asked as everybody's eyes were on me.
"Hippocampus" I said quietly.
"Yes good good good. Now we can have different type of memories based on our mood, how we felt at the time it happened. We can have good memories or bad memories. For example, like your first heartbreak. Now I know you guys are too young to even know how that feels but I can tell you is not a good memory I have. It feels like the person you loved so much is all of a sudden ripping your heart out and shattering it with a hammer." Mr. Clarke said.
Max grabbed my hand and mouthed "It's okay" But I didn't feel okay, I felt the exact opposite.
"But also good memories, for example, like the first time you feel in love. Oh that's the best feeling in the world, no one can beat that. Like they say, you're first love will forever hold a special place in your heart" he said sighting happily.
"Love and heartbreak are two different feelings yet they both release a chemical in our bodies" Mr.Clarke said.
"And how do you get rid off them" I found myself asking. Everybody shocked that I had talked by my own free will.
"Which one? Heartbreak or love?" Mr. Clarke asked.
"Both" I stated.
"Well to get rid of a heartbreak you need to find someone else to love. And you can't get rid off love itself, you are always gonna love someone and it doesn't have to be romantically" Mr. Clarke said looking at me.
"Okay guys, I need you guys to pair up with someone the opposite sex, we will be doing an activity, to determine feelings. I'll give you guys a minute to figure it out, go!" He said and off the kids went to find each other. Lucas and Dustin ran after Max faster than I could move a finger.
"Will?" I asked as I got up from my chair
"You wanna be partners?" Will asked.
"Yes" I said smiling.
"Me too" he said as I sat next to him. My heart ache because he was right next to Mike, but I didn't let it bother me too much, Well at least I pretended.
"Dad and Joyce are getting along really well, when do you think they're going to make it official" I whispered.
"I don't know but it's stupid of them to think we don't notice, we are practically always together at each other's house because they are inseparable. We are basically siblings without any legal documents" he said smiling an I giggled.
"I would love to have two brothers" I said.
"I would love to have a sister as well" he said.
"Then let's make it happen. Let's force them to make official. We need to make a plan, but our goal is to make this sibling thing legal" I said and Will's eyes light up.
" and I have an idea. We are gonna be siblings before you know it" He said smiling and I gave him a high five.
" And I can't wait!" I said very excitedly. The lights flickered on and off.
"Calm down El" Will said laughing.
"Sorry" I said relaxing a little bit.
"Okay I'm guessing you're all ready?" Mr.Clarke asked.
"Okay first, I need you guys to look at each other's eyes and think of what the other person makes you feel" Mr. Clarke said and we did as told.

"Now hold each other's hand, again describe the feeling" he said.
"Now how close is too close? Personal bubble kind of thing. Test each other's personal space" he said and we did. I think our personal space is normal.
"Now say "I love you" to the other person? 抖阴社区 down what it made you feel" he said.
"Hug the other person, write down how you feel. And that's it. Then we will see your results" he said and after a while everybody finished.
"Okay there is two reasons why you chose the person you did, either you like them or you're attracted to them. Now being aware of that, you're results would be completely opposite" Mr. Clarke explain.
"It is based on your feelings towards that person that different chemicals were released, making each pair feel different from the tasked that I made you do. Basically you either let nothing or you felt something. Based on how you perceive the person in front of you" he said.
"Now I'm gonna ask to switch with the pair closest to you. And then check your result, you will be surprise by how different it will be. Okay move" he said and I stood there without moving.
"Will?" I asked.
"El, I'm sorry" Will said getting up and moving to sit with Isabella. Oh god! I felt a chair move and there he was, right in front of me.
"Okay I think all of you have moved. Let's start. Look at each other's eyes and write down what the other person makes you feel" he said.
Mike was looking at me carefully.
"El" Mike begged.
"My name is Jane" I said and I looked at him. I felt something weird run down my spine and I looked away quickly
"Okay now hold each other's hand" he mention. Mike grabbed my hand in his and it made me think of the first time he kissed me.
"How close is to close. Test each other's limit. Go!"
I didn't move, I couldn't move. Mike moved closer to me
"That's enough" I said once I could feel his arm touch mine.
"El please.." Mike said.
"Now say ' I love you'" Mr. Clarke said.
"I love you" Mike said looking at me.
"I love you" I said my throat tided in a knot.
"Now finally, Hug each other" Mr. Clarke.
Mike hugged me tight
"Please El, don't do this, I can't just pretend like I don't know you, you can't do that to me" He said holding me like I would disappear any second.
"Okay, How is this person different then the next, what did they made you feel" Mr. Clarke said.
"Let me go now" I said.
"Please" Mike said.
"You may return to your original partners and discus it with them" Mr.Clarke said and I pushed Mike off me.
"Mike, come on let's discuss" Isabella said as Will sat down.
"You okay?" Will said.
"How can my heart still hurt if he took it with him, when I let him go?" I asked.
"Okay class, go back to your original sits. I will explain how we get feelings, and how to control some of them" Mr. Clarke said
"El.." Max said sadly.
"Please don't say anything" I said.
I want to go to lunch and stuff my face with the chocolate bar Dustin gave and chocolate pudding.
