Being an Omnic is tough. Many fortunate people who didn't suffer major affects of the Omnic crisis feel that it's ok to shame you, humiliate you and so forth. However, it weren't all doom and gloom for you. In fact you had a friend you could always trust and she could always make you feel better about yourself. Her name was Athena, she was all Omnic but she wasn't well known by the community so she was safe from the hate. Unlike most Omnic's she was a god program who controlled practically all of the Overwatch base, from the cameras to the doors, she was in control but you and the others didn't have to worry because she was friendly. There was another thing that Athena had and it was her body. Yes she was mostly a computer but from time to time she would go into her body. You loved everything about her body, her body colour, her eye, just her whole figure from the head down. You believed you was right for her. You wasn't like the other Omnic's, you was more advanced, more skilled with the most advanced weaponry built inside of your arms. You did have hands and could control whenever you want to take them out and put them to use. You knew that your friends know about your feelings towards her and you also knew that Hana aka d.va would spread this like wildfire. Today was something different at the HQ. It was a celebration because it's Athena's birthday and most people showed up with presents and what not. You didn't really understand why because she wouldn't really use any of the stuff she has because of what she is. Here's one for you, 2 years ago Ana gave her some socks, yes socks. Why?
Athena was in her body wondering about in Gibraltar. You was inside winston's lab getting some modifications to your arm. You was talking to winston about what you should say to her. Winston was the type of guy who would just be awkward around woman but he was quite good at giving advice to his friends about many things including love.
"Well... I would recommend that you give her the present first before saying anything." The both of you rambled on before leaving, but you wanted to say one more thing before going.
Hey winston, have you gave anyone else here some love advice and it worked?" He had a little smile in his face.
"Yes. It was Duncan." Your jaw dropped. Of all people that it could've worked on, it worked on Duncan.
"Duncan?! That train wreck of a man? You know that relationship between him and Sombra looks like it's going down hill." Winston grabbed his glasses and polished them. He looked at you before taking a quick sigh.
"Well that's the thing with relationships. It isn't always going to be easy trails. Also, Duncan isn't that bad. I mean he did give you that shotgun for Christmas." You shrugged your shoulders and went outside to go find her. As you was walking around you saw your friend Duncan making out with Sombra. It's nothing new to see them both making out.
'God get a room.' You thought to yourself before continuing to find her.
After around 20 minutes you finally found her. She was on the rocks admiring the sea. You looked at her present you got her before walking towards with a clear blush on your face. Athena heard you and turned towards you. Yes, you couldn't help but look in another direction, Athena noticed you was nervous and tilted her head a little.
"Are you ok? You look a little nervous, is something wrong?" You took a deep breath before getting enough courage to hand her the present. Words barely came out from your mouth.
"Thi-this is for you. I-I got told that it was your birthday so here you go." Athena grabbed the present and opened it up. It was some green lights that could be in fitted inside her to replace the blue colour of her body. You heard that green was her favourite colour so you thought it would be nice. There was silence between the both of your. In your mind you thought she hated it, how very wrong you was. Athena gave out a little chuckle as she gave you a kiss. Well, it was more of a spark rather then a kiss like from WALL-E (classic childhood film). All you could do was shiver. Once she stopped the kiss she looked at you. She was happy, you could tell.
"I love green! How did you know?" Athena was also the type to ask so many questions an always expected an answer.
"Someone told me. Athena... I-I-" Athena interrupted your horrible attempt to speak.
"I like you too Y/N. I always knew, I'm happy that you gave me this. It's really nice!" Another "kiss" landed on you but this time you responded by holding her into a hug. The next few was hours was spent the two of you talking near the rocks and having a laugh.
