Annie POV

After my shower I crept out into the bedroom quietly. I thought Jacob was still asleep and as far as I could see I was right.
I slowly got dressed and then slipped my black leather, lace up boots on. After I tied them up, I grabbed a note pad. And scribbled down on it.
'Going for a ride.'
I put it on the bed side table next to the clock, and slipped out of the room. Closing it as I left. I walked straight down the stairs and was hoping not to run into anyone.
"Annie? Come in here?"
It was May, and there was no way I was going to go into a room with her alone.
"Annie!"
She said it really loud, so I stormed into the kitchen where she was.
"If you don't mind keeping your voice down. Jacob has gotten no sleep and is trying to rest. So keep your mouth shut."
I walked straight back out of the room and then out the front door. I ran down to the horse stable and went to find Scarlet.
"Scarlett, girl. Wanna go for a ride?"
I said as I walked down the stall full of horses. When I reached Scarlett's stall I grabbed a horse saddle, and the rope and lead.
"Hey girl, how are ya?"
I said as I opened her stall up. She walked straight up to me and basically hugged me.
"I missed you too."
I hadn't been down in about 3 weeks. Looks like she missed me.
"Here let's saddle you up."
I said as I walked to her side, I placed the saddle on her and did it up. Then connected the rope around her neck. I put the lead into her saddle bag.
"I forgot some apples. Here we will get some on our ride."
I walked out of the horse stable, with out Scarlett on a lead, she has gotten used to no lead when coming out of the stable.
"Let's go."
As soon as we were out of the stable I closed the gate. Then climbed up onto the saddle. We rode down the drive and when we got to the gate I jumped off her and opened the gate. Again she just walked out and I didn't have to put her on a lead. Scarlett was good like this.
"Giddy up girl!"
I said as we rode down the road, picking up our pace for a little bit. But once the town was in sight I slowed down. The town looked familiar yet, I hadn't seen it before. Or since I had been here. The street names were so familiar.
"Ballesteros road."
I looked down at Scarlett and pulled her to a halt.
"That's near my old house. Let's go there Scar, I could use some more clothes."
We rode down all the familiar roads until we were trotting along the road that my house was on.
"21....23.... Ahh 25. Home sour home."
I rode up to the drive way and took the horse in tying her up to the post of our veranda, I walked up to the door and gave it a knock.
"Just a minute!"
I heard my sister call out. This would be fun. I stood there holding my hands in front of me, then the door opened.
"Hi, how are you.... Annie?"
