I just realized that I update this story every day at about the same time wow (btw this chapter is inspired by the episode "I Remember You". If you need a better visual, I recommend watching it)
———————————————————————————
"I'm going in there." You whispered, starting to feel emotional. You're finally going to talk to Marceline after who knows how long. You began walking towards the door, when the ice hand stopped you. It pointed at the window, showing you that Marceline had begun playing a song. "An Omnichord? I haven't played one of those since I was a kid!" You whisper-yelled.

Ice King snapped along to the tune.
"Slime Princess, you're alright!
Flame Princess, you're okay.
Wildberry Princess could be better.
All of the princesses are pretty alright, but..."

You sighed. Simon had left you, gone insane, and now had fallen for someone else?! Tears trickled down your face as you slowly moved your head down. Ring Simon patted you on the shoulder, then pointed to the window again.

   "Oh Y/N,
you seemed like a lot of fun.
You stayed with me,
and that is how I know!"

You gasped. He had fallen for you a second time?! Marceline dropped the instrument. "Y/N? Y/N's here?!" She yelled. You quickly rushed to the door and burst into the house. Finally, after all these years...

The three of you were in the same spot once again.

Marceline ran over to you and hugged you. "Marceline, it's been forever!" You said. Ice King just stood there awkwardly. "Uh, you know each other? Is it like a sibling thing or..." he trailed off.

Marceline groaned. "He doesn't remember our history together at all. It's hard to get used to..." she sighed. "Don't worry Marceline, I'm going to get him back. I promise."

"So, Marceline, how about that song? C'mon I got a tight schedule here!" Ice King yelled. Marceline groaned again and floated over to her fridge. It was so weird, meeting a vampire that didn't want to kill you.

You nervously followed the irritated woman, and so did Ice King. The ring didn't even bother coming out to help. Marceline grabbed an apple from the fridge and Ice King sat up at the top. You leaned against the door frame.

"Hey Marceline can we share?" Ice King asked in an obnoxious voice. Marceline threw the apple in rage and you jumped back a little. She then sighed.

"You're so annoying, you pitiful old man.
I'd like to help you but I don't know if I can.
I thought you were nuts,
but you're really really really nuts.
Everywhere I move eventually you'll find me and start hanging around.
Just another lame excuse to see me
man, it's getting me down.
You know I'm actually glad to see you!"

Shock spread across Ice King's face.

"Maybe I'm the one who's nuts." Marceline finished. Ice King floated down next to her.

"You... like me?" Ice King asked in shock.
"Of course I do!" Marceline replied. Ice King was speechless. He held out his arms. "How about one of these?" He requested. The two friends hugged, and you looked at your ring. The hand was around your shoulders.

Ice King then moved to kiss Marceline. She pushed him away. "Ugh... not like that! Y/N was your fiancé, not me!" They both quickly glanced at you. "You don't remember anything, Simon!" Marceline yelled, and you gasped.

"What-mon?" Ice King asked. Marceline looked through several papers scattered on the ground. She picked up a newspaper clipping. "Look, this was you before the war!" She dropped the paper and kept looking through others. She held up a picture of you and Marceline. "See, you took this picture! Ugh, you scribbled all over it." Marceline gasped at what she read.

Ice King walked over to the instrument. "Ooh, are they good lyrics?" He asked. "C'mon, sing out sister!" He yelled, and started playing some opening notes.

   "Marceline,
Is it just you and us in the wreckage of the world?
That must be so confusing for a little girl.
And I know you're going to need me here with you,
but I'm losing myself and I'm afraid you're going to lose me too."

You looked around, and found one that was written for you.

"This magic keeps me alive, but it's making me crazy!
And I need to save you, but who's going to save me?
Please forgive me for whatever I do, when I don't remember you."

After finishing that line, Ice King looked at you in surprise. "Wow, I wrote that? Hot stuff!" He called out. Marceline grunted. "You don't remember any of this?" She pulled out another letter. "Look!" She exclaimed while pointing at the words. Ice King began to sing them.

   "Marceline,
I can feel myself slipping away.
I can't remember what it made me say.
But I remember that I saw you frown.
I swear it wasn't me, it was the crown!"

You all sang what seemed like a chorus one last time. You and Marceline had begun to tear up.

"This magic keeps me alive, but it's making me crazy!
And I need to save you, but who's going to save me?
Please forgive for whatever I do, when I don't remember you."

Marceline and Ice King sang some ending notes, and stopped. You hugged Ice King, and didn't care that he tried to kiss you. You knew that soon, you would find a way to bring him back to normal.

And finally get that happy ending you both deserved.
