Lucas stood in his room messing around with his memory box of Himself and Haley sighing he picked up a photograph from their first play date they were so happy and carefree. His smile faltered when he was reminded of how he joined the Ravens and their lives changed. He brought Nathan into their lives, he should have given up when Nathan had given him an out before warning he would not give up destroying him. He laid down thinking over the way he exposed Nathans betrayal in the worse way possible as a way to hurt his best friend and get revenge on his brother as they got closer and he showed his vulnerable side, the same way nathan betrayed him. None of this was Haleys fault, Only his own and Nathans, at this point he felt closer to his father than ever as he released the evil genes he inherited.
His thoughts were interupted by a gentle knock on the door "Haley?" he sat up an yelling hopeful, Instead his ex gf /friend entered. "Sorry blondey Just me" Peyton pounced on the bed Lucas grumbled at the impact. "Whats going on I smell guilt" Lucas chuckled patting his friends knee as they sat against the headboard. Peyton looked around the room spotting the mini basketball which he gratefully took from her aiming for the small hoop Keith set up for him on the bedroom wall. He aimed but it bounced off rolling under the bed out of eye sight and reach. "Bro must be bad you're off your game. Whats going on with you and the Scott girl" Lucas glared. "Shes my girl not Nathans!" he spat. Peytons smile turned into a deep frown before recovering and smiling knowingly. "Is this because she is spending her free time with Nate and you miss your best friend? because you know as much as she loves him, she loves you more" Lucas crossed his arms annoyed that she was unintentionally made him feel even more guilt by the minute. "Can we not talk about their relationship" Peyton sighed tugging her blonde curls into a bun which she only did when she was being serious, such as her art and music.
"So what happened-" they were interupted by a door opening harshly revealing a red eyed, red faced and angry Nathan Scott.
"Nate!! oh my god are you ok?" Ignoring his ex he made a direct line infront of his half brother. Lucas expected a punch, shouting, anything but what he recieved.
"I hate you, you think I have everything ? Thats you. I wish I was you do you know that? you have a mom that cares, a great substitute father, a group of real friends you can be yourself around but most importantly you have the best thing on this disgusting and evil planet, You have Haley. For 2 months I have felt like the richest boy ever, yes I may be rich Financially but I really felt I had hit the Jackpot with a girl that was way... way.. out of my league. So now I hope you got what you wanted too, because after all the fighting and competition you will always win. Even when you lose" Nathan choked out. Lucas' mouth gapped like a fish in shock as Peyton stood 2 feet away with the same expression.
