Chapter 12 - A Decitful Playdate

"What happened?" I ask.

I look around. It's nighttime and Y/N is nowhere to be found.

"It's about time!" Virgil appears next to me. "It's been two days!"

"Two days?" I ask.

"It's been two days since Deceit took Y/N. We have to find her!" He yells.

"What?! Y/N is gone?!" This is awful! What is he doing to her.

"I swear when I find him I'll kill him!" Virgil yells, his voice becoming more distorted with each word.

"Virgil, calm down. You're not going to be of any use to Y/N like this. Where are the others?" I ask.

"They're still trapped. I tried to free them but they told me to go save Y/N. They'll be ok. They just can't leave the mind scape." He explains.

"Well, whatever we do, we need to do it fast. Try to find Y/N. And fast!"

Virgil then vanishes off to find Y/N.

I feel like such an awful caretaker! How are we going to find Y/N? I hope he's not hurting her.

Y/N POV

It's dark. I can't see anything.

I've figured out that I'm in a bedroom, but other than that, I don't know where we are. There is a window above my bed, but I can't open it. I can only look through it.

Whenever I look out of the window, I see thick fog and the shadows of tall trees. I don't know how long I've been here, but every time Mr. Jack tries to talk to me, I hide in my room and don't come out.

I try to call for someone. Anyone. I need someone to help me right now! I focus my thoughts on my family.

"Y/N! Has he hurt you?" I look up and see none other than Mr. Virgil standing in front of me.

Mr. Virgil! I give him the biggest hug and sob quietly.

"I'm sorry, buddy, but I can't stay long. I have to help Thomas and the others. Don't worry. We'll get you out of here. I'll be right back." He whispers.

Ok. Hurry back please! I'm scared! I cry a little more.

"I know, sweetie. I know. I'll be back soon, ok?" I nod. "Ok. See you soon, Y/N."

Mr. Virgil vanishes.

I'm alone again. I just have to wait it out. I'll be ok.

"Y/N!"

Mr. Jack barges into my room and I hide under the covers.

"My living room is a mess, and I didn't mess it up! You're the only other person in this house, so it has to be you! Now PICK UP YOUR MESS!" Mr. Jack barked.

I shake under the covers, then I formed a plan.

I stop moving. I pretend to be unconscious. Maybe Mr. Jack would just go away.

He lifts the covers off of me, and sees me lying "unconscious".

"FINE. DO WHAT YOU WANT. YOU WILL CLEAN THIS MESS UP AS SOON AS YOU ARE AWAKE!" Mr. Jack storms off and slams the door really loudly.

I let out a sigh of relief. I can't wait for Mr. Virgil to get back!

Virgil POV

"I found her. Deceit is holding her hostage in a safe house in a dark forest somewhere. He's been treating Y/N poorly." I say to Thomas.

"Ok. Good. I've gotten everyone out of the mind scape, and we are all ready to go. What do we have to do?" Thomas asks.

"We have to catch him off guard. Make sure he's completely calmed down." Virgil warns. "I can go over there, and keep her company, if you want."
