Chapter 12 - A Decitful Playdate

Start from the beginning

Patton and Logan were distracting Deceit successfully. Thomas went to look around the house for Y/N. On the outside it doesn't look like much, but the house is a lot bigger on the inside. Maybe it's because there's an upstairs and downstairs that it seems bigger.

I stand guard, as according to plan, while Thomas goes and searches the basement. I hide behind the corner so that Deceit doesn't notice that I'm there. I do draw my sword just in case. The conversation starts escalating into an uproar. Shouting commences.

"Look, I don't need you, or Happy Feet over here telling me how to care for a child. I am perfectly capable of caring for Y/N. Just leave me alone and NEVER COME BACK." Deceit snarls.

"We didn't want you to take any offense, kiddo, we just wanted to maybe give you some tips and possibly see Y/N." Patton says with a smile. The fact that he always shows kindness even to those who insult him is astounding.

"Patton, you may want to step back for a second." Oh boy. This isn't good. Logan knows that this will set Deceit off, so why would he say anything? "Y/N doesn't want you to care for her. She is perfectly happy being cared for by us and- umph!" Deceit waves his hand and silences Logan.

"Hey, kiddo, no need to be me- umph!" Deceit chose to silence Patton too? What a snake! Well, he is legitimately a snake so that DOES make sense.

"WHERE ARE THE OTHERS?!" Deceit barks at them while freezing them in place.

"Right here, Snake face!" I shout, stepping into the room. "You should've just stuck to washing the dishes."

"I have no time for you!" Deceit waves his hands twice. Once to disarm me of my sword, and once to silence me. He then waves his arm a third time and tosses me into Patton and Logan. At this point, we're all backed up against the wall with Deceit towering over us.

Virgil POV

I hear footsteps behind me and think the worst. The door opens, and I turn to see Thomas standing behind me.

"It's about time. Y/N has been petrified. Still can't speak, shivering, and is terrified beyond belief. She's doing better now, but she probably hasn't slept in days. We have to get her home." I say in an urgent matter.

"Ok. Let's bring her upstairs." Thomas says, while taking Y/N from my arms. "We need to figure out a plan on how to get out."

Suddenly, we hear thumping coming from upstairs. Thomas and I exchange glaces for a moment before sneaking upstairs to see what all the fuss is about.

As we peer around the corner, we see Roman, Patton and Logan all backed up against the wall with their hands on their mouths.

"I'm not asking again. WHERE ARE THEY?!" Deceit asks.

"You know, it's really hard to answer a question when you can't speak, Brainiac." I say, stepping out from behind the corner.

"What, you think you can stop me? I have Y/N. Make one wrong move and she could end up..." Deceit tries to continue but I cut him off.

"Save it. We have the kid, somewhere where you'll never find her. And as for you, you're not going anywhere. I'm making sure that you never hurt anyone ever again." I say as I start to raise my voice.

Deceit lunges at me and knocks me to the ground. I try to struggle underneath him, but to no avail. I kick him in the shins, and throw him off balance. I get that filthy snake off of me, and I stand.
