Yugi's POV
I need to get out of the house away from everything. There's just too much on my mind right now. But where do I go? It's about three in the afternoon as I turn my head to check the clock. Wait a minute, what am I going to do about Hana? I stare at her heartbroken at her tinyness. I can't just leave her alone by herself. She's just a poor innocent and defenseless newborn. It's not her fault though. Maybe I could ask grandpa to watch her for a while. He's always wanting to hold her when I bring her out in the living room every once in a while. I smile at the thought of him bonding with her. Yeah, I'm gonna do just that. I go to pick her up out of her bed. "Let's go spend some time with grandpa for a while." I say, giving her a light kiss on the forehead. I walk out into the living room and see grandpa lounging on the couch watching tv.
I take a deep breath. I walk closer to the side he's sitting on. He catches my eye. "Oh, hello Yugi. What are you two up to today?" He asks, smiling at me. "Oh um, nothing." I answer back. "Oh I see. Can I hold her?" Grandpa asks, holding his arms out. I nod and smile. "Yeah um, grandpa can I ask for a favor?" I ask nervously. "Why of course Yugi. What is it?" Okay, so far so good. "Do you mind watching Hana for a few hours? I really need to get out of the house and clear my head." I prepare for the but part of his answer. "Why sure Yugi, go right ahead. Me and the youngster will be just fine." When I didn't hear a no for an answer, I sighed in relief on the inside. "Thanks grandpa. I'll be back soon, I promise." I call, hurrying to grab my things. I grab my leather jacket from the closet, my phone off the charger on the night stand and snatch my wallet just in case. I decide not to bring my dueling stuff with me because I want a normal duel free afternoon. Before heading out the door I call to grandpa and tell him if he needs me that I have my phone. "If you need me or have any problems I'm just a call away and I'll get home as soon as I can." "Alright Yugi, but I'm sure everything will be just fine while you're gone." He gives me a big smile. I muster up the courage to give him the same enthusiastic smile. I walk out the door, then I'm gone for a while. A thoughtless walk will do me some good. I hope.
Grandpa's POV
Seconds after Yugi leaves out the door, I turn to Hana. She's finally awake now. "Well did somebody have a nice nappy?" I coo at her. She baby giggles. I smile at her. I'm glad my boys have a daughter like her. Oh, if only Yami was here to see her. I hope the kids find them soon. I spend the afternoon playing with Hana and watching tv with her. I changed her dippers and fed her lunch. Baby milk of course. I don't think Yugi would like it if I gave her regular food so little. Anyhow, Yugi later did return like he said he would. I told him all the things we did and all the fun we had. I love my great grand daughter just as much as my grandson.
Me- Looks like that's the end of this chapter.
Yugi- Yup. Hope you guys liked it.
Yugi smiles.
Me- Looks like Hana likes spending time with grandpa.
I smile with a giggle.
Yugi- I think of that as a good thing. At least I know I can leave her with him and she'll be fine.
Me- That's good to know. Did you have a nice walk?
I ask curiously.
Yugi- That I actually did. It really helped me with some things that were floating around my mind.
He smiles happily.
Me- I'm glad. Walks are usually always helpful.
I pat him gently on the shoulder.
Yugi- Well we should probably get going.
Me- Hope everyone had a good Halloween and enjoys their extra hour of sleep or whatever.
Yugi- Goodnight everyone. Until next time.
