(Have this extra chapter out of nowhere because I actually just long to make my life more difficult. I'm kidding, but I felt like it because I like updating and this doesn't have many chapters yet.

"Hi there, I'm Jeon Junghoon. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Liar. You're not Junghoon. That's not your name. And you don't want to be here. You wouldn't, if something hadn't happened.

"Hi, I'm Taehyung, wonderful to make your acquaintance," I reply politely, hiding the fact that I know that he's not telling the truth. What use would my observation be to anyone?

He could be like me, trying to hide his real identity to keep himself safe. He could have taken over someone else's identity, so that he can cause harm to one of my friends. Or there might be some other motive behind such a deception, one that doesn't make sense to anyone except him.

All I know is that I've got to be careful with what I say and do around this 'Junghoon' guy.

He looks respectable enough, on the surface, a slight smile playing on his lips that's supposed to be friendly, but the corner of a tattoo can be seen curling on his neck, and his nose and ears are pierced. That could just be a style choice, as many people who decide to have piercings and tattoos are nice people, or it could be a hint at something much more unpleasant and sinister.

Everyone else appears to be completely oblivious to the fact that this guy's whole existence in our group is a lie, or they just don't care enough to make a fuss about it. Part of me thinks the former is more likely to be true, because they aren't idiots. They wouldn't trust someone if they knew that person was lying.

So maybe they don't know.

"So, what do you work as, Junghoon? Are you a student?" I ask, trying to work out whether it's just the name that he's going to hide from us. He tilts his head at me, narrowing his eyes ever so slightly before replying.
"Yes, I'm in my first year of uni," responds, and I nod, pretending to believe him.

It's another lie.

"Oh, what are you studying?" Hoseok asks innocently, and I hide my smirk at the frustrated glint that appears in Junghoon's eye. I know that's not his real name, but calling him 'him' in my mind all the time will just get confusing.
"Criminology and Business. I find it fascinating," Junghoon replies, "and I knew I was okay at it, so I figured it was a good subject to take."

That's interesting. He's definitely interested in criminology, so that isn't a lie. He's also good at both subjects, according to my gut feeling. He just doesn't study it as he claims, which suggests that it's a cover up for something else. Somehow, he's found a loophole.

That must mean that he's either working as an undercover officer of some sort, or that he's well aware of such subjects to protect himself from the overarching arm of the law. The idea of him being either good or bad is strangely thrilling, and piques my own curiosity.

Who is this man, and why is he pretending to be Jin's cousin?

Is he even related to Jin in any way?

"Some pretty hard hitting stuff, I suppose," Jimin comments thoughtfully, and Junghoon nods, the side of his mouth curling up in the ghost of a smirk.
"I suppose you could say that, yeah."

He's not a police officer. I can already tell. No officer would be that self confident and cocky when such a question is voiced. He could be acting, to put anyone off the scent, but that's not the impression I'm getting. He's genuinely this arrogant. But then again, it could also be a smirk of self deprecation, as I see a spark of bitterness appear in his eyes for a moment.
