I patted the bed next to where I lay, and he happily sat there taking my hand. I could see his tear stained face and that made me sad.
The doctor left, but I was sure she would be back.
I moved over just enough for Jacob to lay down next to me, and he did. He brushed the hair out of my eyes and kissed me gently.

Jacob POV

"Hey, beautiful."
Annie didn't respond straight away, but when she did it was very quiet.
"I can't hear what your saying."
A tear fell down her cheek and I wiped it away, I nodded my head so that she knew I heard her.
"Thank-you for, speaking to me earlier."
She croaked out, I smiled at that. She had heard me. I sat up a bit and Annie moved her head onto my chest.
She pointed to a clipboard across the room, then looked at me. I slowly slipped out of the bed and grabbed it.
This is how Stacy had been communicating with her, very smart.
I got a new piece of paper and wrote on it.
Hey beautiful.
I handed the board to Annie, and she smiled.
Hey Jacob.
I smiled when she gave the board back to me.
How are you feeling?
A bit better, better with you here though.
I laughed at that but she wouldn't have heard it, but maybe just felt the rumble.
Good. You worried me. I missed you.
I'm glad.
She leant up and placed a kiss on my jawline, I looked down at her and she had that look in her eyes. That desire for more.
Are you sure?
To scared?
Never.
I wrote down and passed it back to her she replied straight away then put the board down.
Good.
I leant down and kissed her slowly and passionately. But of coarse she changed it after a bit, wild yet hungry. What a sweet heart, I'm glad she is ok. I pulled away first. Hearing a knock on the door. I lifted my head up a little and looked toward the door.
"Come in."
I stilled didn't move my head from where it was, or shift my body at all.
Stacy opened the door up.
"Sorry, I didn't know..."
I smiled at her.
"It's fine. I was just saying hello."
Stacy laughed at that then wheeled a wheel chair in.
"I thought maybe, Annie might want to leave the room for a bit. Maybe you could take her for a walk."
I looked down at Annie and smiled. She smiled back at me, but she was also confused. I would be too if I couldn't hear.
"Does she need to be hooked up to machines out there?"
"She will just need the oxygen tank, which I have secured to the back of the wheelchair."
"Thank-you, I will take her out soon."
"Your welcome."
I was going to let her walk out but I couldn't just yet.
"What's with the hearing Stacy? Why can't she here me?"
Stacy looked back at me.
"We aren't so sure, the doctors working on that now. We will call you and Annie in later and explain."
She closed the door and I looked back down at Annie. She lifted her hand to my face and kissed my lips lightly, just a brushing of lips. I couldn't help it, I pushed myself up against her as I erected.
She let out a small laugh, and then kissed me again. This time it lasted as sweet yet passionate. Then I slowly pulled away for her. I got out of the bed and walked around to the other side.
I started to undo the cables she was connected to, and then I scooped her up out of bed.
"Jacob!"
She said quietly, but I knew she was a bit worried. I set her down in the wheelchair and put the mask on her. This one went in her nose, it wasn't a full face mask.
I made the shape of a love heart with my fingers then walked to a cupboard, opening up a few until I found what I was looking for. A blanket. I set that down on Annie's lap, then opened the door.
