I Don't Need You Now

Chapter 5

(Elena's P.O.V)

        Waking up I found an arm wrapped around my waist, and someone's head nuzzling my neck. Memories came rushing back. Me and Damon. Alone. In bed. This isn't good. I gently disentangled myself from him as well as realizing I was naked. I looked around and found my bag and walked to the bathroom.

        I pulled out a white V-neck shirt and a pair of black pants and my Converses. Pulling them on, I heard Damon getting up and he knocked. "We need to talk." And I knew where this was going. I pulled on the dark jacket and walked out to a shirtless Damon. My heart sped up and he drank the shot from the glass then looked at me.

        "What?" I asked him with a sigh. All I wanted to do was go for a run and suck on a blood bag. But then I was pulled to the present be Damon snapping his fingers in my face. I looked at him and smiled apologetically. "Sorry, what?" And he sighed and looked at the cup and then the bottle. He pulled the bottle to his amazing- wait. I'm not going there.

        "We need to talk about last night." And then I made a bee line for the door. "There is nothing to say. Don't tell the others. And now we have talked, I'm going for a run. I promise not to eat anyone!" I called, but then he was next to me and I turned and my back was against the door and he was standing next to me.

        "We need to talk. This is so unlike me, but we need to." And I smiled and turned to him. "Then go back to your old ways and don't talk. Now leave me alone. I want to go for a run." And I grabbed his hand and opened the door and left. And hit the person in front of me. I looked and saw Caroline smiling with Bonnie looking concerned at her best friend. I shook my head and pressed the elevator button only vaguely aware that Caroline and Bonnie were following me. I don't think they understand the concept of alone time.

        We walked through the lobby. NO BLOND BITCH BAT! We walked out the front door and went through the woods to a fallen tree. I sat down on the dry woods as the two girls showed up wearing the same identical smile.

        They looked at each other and then at me. "Spill!" And then they attacked me with questions about where I went last night and why Damon was also missing. Really? They need to put two and two together.

        "I was with Damon. I needed blood and I could only find him and he had the key. Satisfied?" I asked as Caroline's eyes widen and Bonnie smiled.

        "Liar! You totally did it with him! We all saw you make out with him when the slow song came on!" Caroline yelled. Bonnie smirked and laughed quietly to herself.

        I put my hands up in defeat. "Fine we made out. Things got out of hand and we went to the hotel room. I think you can guess what happened from there?" I asked as the whooped and smiled with joy.

         I smiled and got up. I started to walk when a hand caught me by surprise. I screamed and turned to see Damon with a smug smile on his face. I glared at him and pulled my arm away. Bonnie and Caroline had left and me and Damon were just glaring at each other, daring for each other to speak just like we had the night before. But there was something in his eyes that made me falter my glare. His eyes became less guarded and he pulled me close; as if his intentions were to kiss me, but he just kept looking at me.

        Reminds me of when Edward never stopped staring at me in Biology the first day. Awkward!

        Damon pulled away and sat us on the tree. He smirked and looked at me with those beautiful baby blues. Dammit! I'm thinking of his features again.

        "Whatever happened to 'don't tell the others'?" He asked in a mocking tone. And it hit me. He likes to be in control of things like this. He doesn't like to feel emotions. He uses people and then discards them like trash. But when he said this was so unlike him, he meant it. Probably because I am his friend.

I smiled. "What happened to the 'Big Bad Wolf'?" I asked him as he swooped in and pressed his lips to mine. Then he disappeared just as easily as he appeared.

"Tease." I muttered. The laughter stopped me in my tracks. "Then come find me!" Damon called from somewhere in the distance. I jumped into the nearest tree and soared tree to tree with grace.

The trees ended and a clearing came into view. The place was stunning. Flowers bloomed everywhere and there was a river on the far side that was deep enough to swim in. I looked at the middle of the place where Damon was standing. The clearing reminded me of the one in Forks. But that was with HIM.

I looked at Damon. He had taken off his jacket and now had his t-shirt showing. He looked lethal either way. His eyes were guarded as always. I could even see that from where I stood. His baby blue eyes stared at me and I could see the desire.

I jumped from the high point of the tree I was in and landed with grace. Walking up to him, he smiled. Not smirk, but an actual smile. The simple gesture made my knees weak. I stood in front of him with a foot in between.

"Found you." I said simply as he grabbed my waist and pulled close so there was no room between us. "Yes you have indeed. Now that you have me here, what are you going to do about it?" He replied. I thought for a moment. I pulled away and took off the sweatshirt. It dropped to the ground. I turned and walked to the river. I turned and smiled. Damon's eyes traced my figure. His lips were still in a smile. He was walking towards me. I turned to face the river. I striped to my bra and panties. I looked at the river and started to walk in. The water was warm as I walked in, the soil felt like sand.

I heard the movement behind me as he walked in. He wrapped his around me in a swift motion as he also spun me around. The kiss was passionate. Then it was need. Then, just like last night, it happened again.

I was lying down in the grass, only covered by Damon and his jacket. Never in my life did I expect to do it in the woods. When we came out here it was around ten in the morning. Now the sun was going down. We were out here all day. Between doing personal stuff and playing hide and go seek; swimming, and running around, I was quite exhausted. I looked at my boyfriend and smiled. He actually asked me. He was staring at me and stroking my damp hair. "We need to head back to the others." He murmured in my ear causing a shiver to creep up my spine.

"Fine." I sighed and he chuckled to himself and kissed me. "Kiss me again, and we won't be leaving any time soon." I warned as I got up and got dressed just like him.

We walked into the front lobby to see Stefan looking at us as if we had lost our minds. Then he saw the smile that was portrayed on both of our faces. Damon's hand was still clamped to mine because when I walked through the door, my eyes went straight to the doorman's neck. He smelled so tasty to say in the least. So Damon had to grab me by the hand and the simple gesture still took me for a roller coaster ride.

We walked up to Stefan. His arms were pressed over his chest and a smile danced at his lips. He smirked at Damon. "Told you brother." Then all at once Damon stiffened up and glared at his younger brother. Then he relaxed and smiled. "For once you were right brother. Now why do you look like someone took a piss in your cornflakes?" He asked as we brushed pass him but Stefan caught Damon. "We all need to talk. Come on. Everyone's in your guy's room." We followed him to the room and walked in to see Alaric pacing and Jenna trying to calm him down; Caroline, Bonnie, and Tyler had worried expressions; and Jeremy and Matt were looking to all of us.

We walked over to the table and some sat down and others sat on the counter. Damon was sitting on the counter and everyone was looking at me worriedly. Stefan cleared his throat and the attention was faced to him.

"Elena, do you know anyone by the last name of Volturi?" And my blood ran cold.
