"How come you're here?" I ask what's on my mind. Michael tilts his head.

"Because I love you, and I didn't want to leave your side while you were hurt," he answers like it's obvious, lightly kissing the back of my hand.

"No, I mean, didn't you think I cheated on you? Why would you come then?" I follow up.

"Well, when I watched the video once, I didn't know what to think. I went to my room. After rewatching the video, I noticed something. Whenever you get mad, like really mad, you make this one specific face. In the video, I could see you start to make the face, and I knew he kissed you, and you didn't kiss him. I quickly shoved some stuff in my backpack, sneaked out the window, and called an Uber. I also called management to tell them where I was going, and they let me go. I was driven to the airport, and I got on the first flight here. When both you and the guys started calling me, I was already in the air," he informs me quietly. I smile.

"You're my favorite person," I admit.

"As are you," he replies, leaning over and gently kissing me on my lips.

"Where's everyone else?" I try to look around, but no one else is in here, just Michael and me.

"Addie is with your mom. The guys are back in LA doing promo. Cody is down in the lobby with a broken nose," he smirks at the end.

"You broke his nose!?!" I ask in shock. He nods.

"He broke your skull. He deserved it," Michael shrugs as if it's nothing.

"I love you," I smile at him. He smiles back.

"I love you too," a nurse walks into the room before quickly setting whatever she was holding down and yelling at Michael in a different language. "Oops, I was supposed to tell them when you woke up." The lady continues to yell at him. "And now I have to temporarily leave the room. They need to run some tests." He leans down and kisses my forehead. As he stands up, I grab onto his arm.

"Don't leave. Please," I beg, my lower lip forming a pout. He sighs.

"I'm going to be down in the lobby. If anything happens, I'll be two minutes away," he assures me. I frown.

     "Michael...," I trail off.

"I'm not legally allowed in their. Hell, I had to lie to get in here as quickly as I did," he admits. I raise an eyebrow.

"What did you do?" I ask him.

"Not much. They wouldn't let me in if I said I was your boyfriend, so I said I was your fiancé," he tells me. The thought sends a stampede off in my stomach.

"Well, I wouldn't mind if that was true...," I trail off. Michael smiles.

"I wouldn't either," he whispers in my ear, gently kissing my cheek. I start to blush like crazy, and the lady comes over and tries to get Michael out. He kisses me one more time before getting sent out of the room.

---

It's three days after I've woken up, and I'm allowed to do practically nothing. I'm not allowed to go on my phone, the radiation would mess with something apparently, and I can't watch tv for the same reason. I still also have the neck brace on. The pain, however, has dulled, so that's a win.

The one thing keeping me sane is that Michael is still here. He told me that management is letting him stay until two days after I'm out of the hospital, so we still have some time. The doctors took the needles and stuff out of my arm, so I can move more now. Currently, I'm moved over so Michael can lie down on my bed with me. He's lying on his side, and his arms are wrapped around me. I can't think of anywhere better to be than in his arms.
