Cheryl's Point of View
southsidetopaz: Hey, Cherry. What's the news at your school?
Sent 12:43pmcherry-bomb: Nothing new. Still the old, boring, Riverdale High. How about yours?
Sent 12:43pmsouthsidetopaz: Well, there was a fistfight, but that's nothing abnormal here.
Sent 12:44pmI love how she made everything completely normal. It's like she could say the sun had exploded, but she'd make it into nothing.
cherry-bomb: I love how casually you say that, Gemma.
Sent 12:45pmsouthsidetopaz: Sorry, Cherry. I gotta go. Class starts early today. Ttyl xx

Read 12:46pmGemma isn't her real name. Cherry isn't my real name. I have no idea who she is, but I like it that way. There's something comforting about the fact the person you're talking to doesn't know anything about you, or your past.
Gemma and I had been talking for a few weeks now. She doesn't go to Riverdale High, she lives on the Southside. Hence her username.
"Who are you texting, Bombshell?" Veronica smiled at me, and I realised I had the biggest, goofiest smile across my face.
"Oh, uh, no. Noone. Doesn't matter." I said.
"No, come on, Cheryl. Tell me, tell me, tell me! Is he cute? Does he go here?" She nudged me. I wish she'd just understand. Not a he.
"Veronica, I said it doesn't matter." At this point, she was starting to bug me.
"C'mon, Cher. I'm just glad he makes you happy. What's his name?"
"Veronica." I snapped. She snatched my phone out of my hands, and I almost screamed at her. I wish I hadn't told her my password the other day.
"Gemma.. Who's Gemma? That's not a guy's name." She said, confused. "Wait- Oh my God. You-you don't like guys?!" She asked. I slowly shook my head.
"Please, Veroni-" I started
"Oh my God! You..." She trailed off. She looked at me like I was the most disgusting person on Earth.
"Veronica..." I pleaded. She wouldn't even look at me. She scoffed, and strode away. I felt the tears streaming down my face.cherry-bomb: I'm done for. I've been exposed.
Sent 12:50I switched my phone off, put it in my bag, and headed to my locker.
Screw Veronica. What a great best friend she is.
History felt like it took an eternity. As soon as I got out, I turned my phone on again.southsidetopaz: Huh? What's that supposed to mean?
Sent 12:52pm
southsidetopaz: Cherry?
Sent 12:53pm
southsidetopaz: Hello? What are you talking about? What do you mean, you've been exposed?
Sent 12:55pm
southsidetopaz: Cherry? Text me back!
Sent 12:57pmI feel bad for not texting her back, but I can't text her at the moment. I can't believe Veronica was such a witch about it.
My phone buzzed.New message from Veronica
Oh, goody.
Veronica: Hey, Blossom. Just thought you might be up for a little something?
Me: What do you want? I'm sure you hate me now.
Veronica: I want to know something - does Reggie know? I mean, it'd be pretty wrong, if he found out you were a lesbo. Especially after that night.Let me tell you a story. One night, there was a party, at Chuck Clayton's house. Everyone was pretty drunk. Reggie comes up to me, the only sober girl at a party full of alcohol, and offers to get me some water. I said yes, because, I mean, it's water. And they weren't serving any. A few minutes later, he comes back with the cup of water, and I drink it. Hours later, I wake up, with Reggie kissing my neck, and my clothes on the floor. Then, at school the next week, he goes around telling everyone I let him hit it. Nobody believed my side of the story, because noone cared enough to hear it. So yeah, that's why Veronica asked if Reggie knew.
Me: You venomous snake.
And before she could say another word, I blocked her.
