Hey! Missed me?

I'm sooo sorry that I didn't update for over 2 weeks. I really am... college is taking its toll on me. And thank you for all those msgs on private chat. I read them all... haven't replied, but it means a lot. Thanks for your support. I love you guys!

Anyways, I'm really curious about where my beloved readers are from. Which country or state and what do you do? DO tell me.  I'd love to know about you guys <3

"Thanks Navya," I said as I took the cup of hot chocolate from her.

God bless her cooking skills.

"Anytime," She said.

I walked towards Manik's office, whilst sipping my hot chocolate.

I peeped in and I saw my swoon worthy mate sitting behind his laptop screen, working on something. I smiled and invited myself in.

Manik looked up and gave me a gorgeous smile, specially reserved for me.

"What are you working on?" I asked.

"Just responding to some emails... including your brother's formal invite the Coronation tonight." He said, as he walked towards me.

"Oh crap!! That completely slipped out of my mind," I said, as I facepalmed myself.

He walked over to me and took my mug of hot chocolate from me and kept it on the table. He lightly pulled me by my hands and rested his hands on my waist. I looked up and once again, like all times, I was mesmerized by his beautiful eyes.

He suddenly looked away.

"Manik, is everything all right?" I asked, a little worried.

"Yeah, everything's just fine." He said as he pulled me back towards him and buried his face in my hair.

I pulled away and took his hands in mine.

"Tell me." I said, very seriously this time.

"I don't know if I'm ready to meet your father to be honest." He said and looked away.

Oh! That's why. Urgh! Why didn't I think about this earlier?

"Manik, we don't have to go. Just give me a minute and I'll inform Abhi." I said and started walking towards the door.

"No Nandini. You will do no such thing," He said in a grim voice.

"It's fine Manik. We can go another time." I said.

"No, we can't miss this. We have to be there... after all, my little sister is going to be crowned Luna." Manik said and gave me a small smile.

"Manik, are you very sure about this?" I asked again.

He hooked his fingers through my jeans pocket and pulled my closer. I snaked my hands around his neck and he said,

"As sure as I can be."

He dipped his head lower and my breath hitched.

This is it.

He nuzzled my jawline and he wrapped one of his hands around my waist. He gently traced my lower lip as my lip parted... He leaned in and licked the corner of my mouth.

"Hot chocolate?" He said and smirked.

Just then there was a knock on the door. Manik growled and said,

"What?"

I quickly moved out his tight grip and stood beside him. Kiara came in and said,

"Alpha, sorry for interrupting you.... But sire, Suyyash Rai is here."
