Taylor's POV
It was Saturday.
The day of the accursed meeting.
The day where I would most likely see Grayson, Jason and Alpha Aaron. I hadn't seen them since our last unpleasant encounter.
But, today was also the day where I had to...eat eggs for breakfast.
That, by far, was the worst thing I've had to do.
At exactly seven a.m. sharp, I called upstairs, "MICHAEL! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE, DIMWIT!"
"The damned thing starts at ten, Taylor! Chill the fuck out!" Was his muffled response.
"SO?" I cried. "We gotta be there early! And it's almost an hour run from here!"
"FINE. I'll be down in fifteen!"
I huffed, crossing my arms, "YOU'RE SUCH A PRISS, MICHAEL!"
"AND YOU'RE SUCH A PEDOPHILE, BUT I AIN'T JUDGIN'," he shot back.
"Oh, just hurry up!" I shouted back in defeat.
The whole time we were having our morning shouting match, Margaret was sitting at the table drinking coffee and smiling.
"You guys are so adorable," she gushed.
"So you say," I then muttered, "every freaking day."
"I heard that, Taylor! Just because I'm no longer a teenager does not mean I've lost my werewolf senses!"
I gave her a bright smile, hoping this would make up for it.
She rolled her chocolate-colored eyes, but she was grinning, "Oh, Taylor. You're forgiven. How can I be mad at you when you smile like that?"
"Smile like what?" I asked, curiously. I pulled a chair out and sat down, resting my head on the palms of my hand, my elbows propping me up.
"Like, like, well," she stumbled. "When you smile, it's like the goddess Luna herself was smiling. Your smile just brightens the whole room. It's so cute, I could just snuggle you to death."
I scoffed at her description, "Yeah, right."
"I'm serious, Taylor!" She protested.
Michael bounded down the stairs right then and he saw us and asked, "What's going on?"
Snorting, I said, disbelievingly, "Mom here thinks I'm a goddess."
Michael nodded a few times, "Seems about right."
"What?" I sputtered. Shooting out of my seat, I stared at the both of them, gaping. "You guys can't be serious, right? I mean, I'm just me. There's nothing special about me!"
"You're an Alpha's only child."
"You're over six feet tall."
"You speak over five different languages. Fluently."
"You know over ten different types of martial arts."
"You know how to use over ten different types of martial arts."
"You're the best fighter in the Silver Moons pack."
"Okay!" I cut in, blushing. "I get it, I'm special. "But I'm not goddess special." Michael opened his mouth but shut it when I shot him a withering glare. "Let's just go before I die of embarrassment."
Before Michael and I made it to the door, Margaret called out, "And you're modest, too!"
"STOP TALKING!"
