Grayson's POV

 "You're my mate."

When she uttered those three little words, just those three, I felt everything and nothing all at once. Guilt, panic, joy, satisfaction, anger, tranquility, depression all coursed through my veins, causing my heart to pound a mile a minute. My eyes widened as realization kicked in and my hand fell from her face.

She knew. Taylor knew.

"T-Taylor, wait, I can explain--" I didn't get to finish. She placed a hand on my chest--sending sparks racing through me...this seems beside the point right now...--and slipped an arm around my neck.

Taylor snaked her other hand around my neck and my eyes widened.

Oh, God, she's gonna murder me.

"Taylor, wait! Hold up! I, I meant to tell you, okay? I really did! I-It just wasn't the right time and every time I tried, we were always cut short and--"

My rambling was cut short as Taylor hugged me. The breath was literally knocked out of me as she tightened her grip. Flabbergasted, I hesitantly enfolded her in my arms. Soon, I began to enjoy the feeling and buried my face in her untied hair.

"Grayson," she murmured. I rubbed her back, saying something incoherent. "If you ever leave me like that again...I will kick you in the balls. Then in your face." Taylor sniffed and I held her tighter, loving how perfectly she fit against me. How her soft curves felt against me. How did I ever manage to be away from her for so long?

Taylor suddenly pushed me away, getting to her feet, her eyes glowing bright despite the dark color it was.

"You still lied to me," she accused, glaring at me.

"I tried! I tried so many times, Taylor!" I cried, throwing my hands up.

What the hell is happening? It was going so well! What'd I say?

"If you tried then why didn't I know until now?"

I opened my mouth to speak, but she never gave me the chance. She threw a lamp at me. A lamp. Reflexes kicked in and I ducked, watching the object fly over me and shatter as it hit the wall.

Holding my hands up, the universal sign of defeat, I tried to cool her temper by speaking in a softer voice. "Taylor, Taylor baby, I need you to calm down, alright? Just give me ten, no, five minutes and--Fuck, Taylor! Put the drawer down!" I leaped out of the way Taylor chucked my clothes drawer at me.

Any advice here? I sarcastically asked my so far silent wolf.

No, you're doing great. You got this.

WHY YOU LITTLE FUCK--

"YOU COULD'VE TOLD ME!" She yelled, throwing the pillows from my bed.

"BUT YOU DIDN'T!" My furniture.

"YOU KEPT IT TO YOURSELF LIKE THE STUPID BASTARD YOU ARE!" My other desk.

"I HATE YOU!" All of the clothes, including the hangers, from my closet.

"GO AND FUCK. OFF!" My shoes.

"YOU LIED TO ME!"

"Ow!" I held the side of my forehead where the book hit when she hurled it at me. "Damn it, Taylor! Would you quit it already?" I received a pillow in the head as an answer. "ENOUGH!" I shifted into my wolf and hurtled towards her, pinning her to the floor. She struggled in my grip, snarling at me before shifting into her own wolf.

Even though we were fighting, I couldn't help but admire her beautiful, awe-inspiring wolf. Which was stupid because she didn't stop; she lunged at me, claws out. The millisecond before she scratched me, I sprung to the side. I quickly transformed back and put on one of the pairs of shorts lying around.
