Julianne's POV
Wait was Locke looking at me? I couldn't tell I just decide to play it safe and just carry in the conversation.
"So where in Illinois are you from?" Rhett asks me as we sit down at the table. I sit in between Link and Locke, and I want to say something about Good Mythical Morning or their music or how much of a fan I am or how they can always put a smile on my face, or how I memorized all the music. But again Link's a lier and obviously doesn't want me knowing about them.
"It's a suburb about and hour away from Chicago, maybe 40,000 people live there." I'm freaking talking to Rhett McLaughin.
"So it's a lot different from here. Was there any snow on the ground when you left?"
Ha, Rhett and Link probably haven't ever seen snow. Or at least the amount I see. Ugh it must be great living in the south. I'm telling ya, I've never dreamed of a white Christmas.
"Oh there was about a foot of snow when I left, it's great to see some green!" I say.
After some talking, Locke, Lincoln and I go outside.
"You wanna toss the football around? Well I mean can you even throw one?" Locke says with a smirk. He picks up the ball and throws it to Lincoln who fails to catch it.
"I may be a girl. I may be wearing a skirt, but I grew up in a house with two older brothers who taught me what it takes to." I scoff, "throw a football." Lincoln throws it back to Locke who throws a perfect spiral to me.
"Go long you two!" I yell as they both run backwards to the fence. I put my fingers in the lace of the football and let it fly. Lincoln try's to catch it but at the last second Locke tackles him and catches it with one hand.
"Good work there McLaughin!" Wait... McLaughin. Why did they just give me his real last name? Why not a fake one like Johnson or Smith? But how come Rhett trusts me more than Link? Well I guess there's no Rhett McLaughin and Link Lamont.
"Time for lunch!" Mrs. McLaughin yells from the back door. We all head inside and grab our plates.
"Quite a nice arm you got there Julianne. Do you play softball or something?" Rhett says as we all sit down. Do I really look like I have the muscles of a softball player?
"Nope I dance!" He gives me a confused look.
"I don't recall ever seeing a ballerina throw a football like that." Link says as Rhett takes a forkful of food. what do they talk for each other too?
"I guess my brothers raised me well then." I say and dig in to the pasta.
After we eat, Locke and I go back outside, I think Lincoln went to look after Shepard and Lando.
"So you like it here so far?" Locke asks as we sit down in the grass. Except for the fact that I can watch any Rhett and Link for six months I can say it's pretty great.
"Yeah it's a lot different here, but a good different, a really good different." I say and push the hair out of my face, "I've always wanted to live here."
"Yeah Link's daughter Lily all she ever wanted was to go see the snow, I swear she will live in Alaska when she grows up." He picks at his thumbs a little bit before he finishes, "she also had the biggest crush on me."
"Well did you like her back?"
"I used to but I don't think I do anymore."
