The Exchange Program (A Rhett and Link Fanfiction)

The days passed and Link and I were still not on good terms. What felt like forever he finally decided to talk to me.

"Julianne I have nothing else to say other that I'm sorry." Link said to me while we were cleaning the kitchen. And what I said next was a shock to both him and myself.

"I should be the one that's sorry. I mean, it was responsible of you to do what you did. After thinking it through I would have done the same." We go into the family room and sit down. "I'm sorry I was such a little brat. I didn't mean to make this such a big deal."

"Julianne I understand, you shouldn't be the one apologizing. I've learned that I have to take a step back and focus on others felling and not just my own." "Link?"

"Yeah."

"Thanks for always giving me a reason to wake up in the morning. Without you I'd probably be depressed. Thanks for being honest with me, even though it took a while."

"Jules, I just wanna know people like you are the reason I do what I do."

We stand up and give each other a hug and that's when I realize, Lily is lucky to have him as a father.

I told Locke that he should go with Lily and not me and he agreed, everything was well and my flight to go home was in two weeks.
