"Hello, Lieutenant. Thank you for not forgetting about me this time." Connor smiled at him. "I appreciate it."
"Yeah, whatever. What's wrong with her?" Hank asked, gesturing towards you. You felt awkward under the gaze of the human and Android.
"She seems to have a concussion, along with a type of memory loss." Hank nodded slowly, looking out into the parking lot.
"Well, what now?" He asked, scratching his chin. Connor was the first to speak.
"It is getting late now, so I'd recommend we drive back home to get some rest, especially for her."
"At my house?" Hank quickly asked after he spoke. "Hell no!" Connor nodded.
"She doesn't remember where she lives, although it's highly likely that she lived where the crime scene happened. But we do need to watch over her while she recovers." He tilted his head to the side, raising an eyebrow at him. Hank was silent for a while as he rolled his eyes.
"Sure. Let's go. I hate this damned place, anyways." He started striding briskly to his car. You followed behind them.
"This isn't how I wanted to spend my Friday night." Hank mumbled, starting up the car. You once again crammed together in the dog-fur covered car. The volume of the music that suddenly rang out startled you. Connor noticed this, and turned the volume down immediately. Hank quickly slapped the Androids' hand away, with a few hostile words struggling to come out of his mouth.
"For fucks sake, Connor-"
"She is sensitive to loud noises and drastic light changes. Please take notice to her sensitivities." Connor explained. Hank nodded while pretending to be sympathetic. For some reason you could imagine him rolling his eyes once more. As the car started to leave the hospital, you...you suddenly felt like crying. Why? Maybe the thought of you not remembering anything before this night. What if you had friends and family members who were expecting you? Or, maybe this meant you could start fresh. Maybe you weren't a good person. Now you have a fresh plate to start with. But the feeling of loss from your possible relationships tugged at your heart. A tear slipped down your cheek. When you looked forward, you saw Connor staring at you intently.
"Why are you crying?" He asked you kindly. You shook your head.
"I don't know." Your head hung low, staring at your shoes. "I don't know." Connor looked at Hank with a concerned look in his eyes. Hank paused, but simply returned to driving. The rest of the car ride you continued to stop yourself from crying, while seeing the pretty sights again. After ten or so minutes you arrived to a neighborhood filled with older-looking homes. Hank made a sharp turn into the driveway of a home. You couldn't exactly see what it looked like, due to it being dark out. Before you all climbed out of the vehicle, Hank turned to face you.
"I wasn't expecting to bring a girl over, so I don't apologize if everything is screwed up and dog-fur covered." He smirked and quickly swung open the car door. Connor seemed to miss the joke, leaving you as well. You followed them to the entrance of the home. Hank reached in his pocket for his keys, while Connor spoke.
"Why don't you upgrade your house? If you modernized it, you wouldn't have to carry around those keys everywhere you go, only unlock your home and start up your car." Hank paused. Then he turned to see his face.
"Do you honestly expect me to do that? I can't change the damn settings on my own phone." He spat, before opening the door. You giggled. It felt nice.
Inside, the lights flickered on to reveal a messy looking home. Trash was collected on the dining room table and floor, along with a few socks that looked to have been dragged out into the living room to your right.
"Hey Sumo, were you a good boy?" Hank quickly greeted a large dog inhabiting the home.
"Why are you dragging around my socks again?" He mumbled. You peered around Connor's shoulder to see the large mass of different shades of brown, white, and black.
"This is Sumo." Connor stepped out of the way. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind you staying for a few days." You smiled at him. Sumo slowly trotted over from his owner to you. You held out a hand, in which he sniffed. Soon after he allowed you to pet him, which you did much of. Hank and Connor seemed to be doing their own thing now while you were petting and massaging the large animal. He was flopped over onto his back, letting his long pink tongue hang out. You smiled as your hands ran through his rough fur. Sumo appeared to be enjoying the attention, as large amounts of drool oozed from his jowls. After everything that had happened...this seemed alright. A hand reached your shoulder, snapping you out of your trance.
"Are you starting to feel tired? It would be wise for you to start sleeping." You looked up to see Connor. It took you a minute, but you nodded. You stood up, leaving Sumo to whine for more attention.
"I guess..." Connor looked into the living room to where Hank was seated, half asleep already.
"I'd also recommend that you sleep as well, Lieutenant." Hank just grunted and stood up.
"Goodnight, don't fuck anything up." He mumbled specifically to you and Connor. Sumo followed behind him, tail swaying side to side slowly.
"Goodnight, Lieutenant." Connor flicked off all of the light switches, leaving you in darkness.
"Do you need anything before you sleep? I've learned that humans prefer to be comfortable as they sleep." You could barely see his slightly freckled face in the darkness. All that was visible was his glowing blue LED.
"Yeah...I need to use the restroom, where is it?" You asked quietly. Connor swiftly walked down a hallway next to the kitchen. A light turned on inside the room.
"Take your time." He nodded, and walked back to the living room to...do Android things. The white wooden door was shut behind you as your eyes adjusted to the bright light. You peered at your reflection in the mirror. The mirror was covered in colorful pieces of paper. Some of them had positive statements and quotes written on them, although some seemed to be the complete opposite. One read;
"I'm not grumpy, I just don't like you.". It made you smile from the humor of it. Then you noticed your actual reflection. One big bruise was planted on your upper right forehead. It was large, purple, and blue. It...looked disgusting. Your lips were peeling, and dry. Your E/C eyes were slightly puffed up from crying. They also looked to be strained from being awake for god knows how long. Speaking of your eyes, they trailed up to find your tangled H/C hair. Running some water, you patted down the tangly hair. It looked somewhat better now, you assumed. You were also appreciative that Katie, back at the hospital, had cleaned your blood off of your face and arms. That was one less thing to worry about. Finally, you did what you meant to do in the bathroom, and washed your hands. Once again, you stared into your reflection. You tried a multitude of times to look away at the yellow, black, and blue tiled walls. But it didn't work. You jumped at a knock on the other side of the door.
"Are you alright in there? You've been in the bathroom for ten minutes." Connor's muffled voice asked cautiously. A second passed. You glanced at the mirror one more time before your shaky hands reached for the doorknob. You met with the familiar deep abyss of his eyes. They made your heart beat faster with every second. It was like a guilty pleasure to do. Your voice came out just above a whisper.
"...A-Am I ugly?" Connor stared at you. He seemed confused.
"Tell me the truth,...please." Your voice cracked. He remained speechless. It became uncontrollable. Your head hung low and you cried- no, sobbed. What was this rush of emotions for? Just as you almost fell over into the frame of the doorway, his cold hand held your shoulder.
"I cannot find a word in any language to describe how truly unique and beautiful you are." Connor's soft, gentle voice soothed you. A weak smile slipped onto your tear-streaked face.

You are all beautiful, from the inside out. Make someone's day great today.
Until next time, my beautiful Connor fangirls! <3
P.S The reason I mentioned Sumo dragging around Hank's socks is because my dad's girlfriend's old dog used to love my dad's socks. So whenever he missed him, he would cuddle his sock.
