Scared (Harry Styles vampire fanfic)

"Thanks for the ride Harry" I said wearily, as I turn around ready to get inside the apartment. I'm so exhausted...

"Wait!" I heard Harry exclam behind me. I turn around to look at him and I lifted an eyebrow "hmm?"

Harry nervously scratched the back of his neck then suddenly, he pressed his lips against mine. My eyes widened. What the?!!

He pulled away from my lips and rested his forehead against mine. "See you tomorrow, Emrisse" He whispered. I stayed quiet, not yet recovered about what just happened. I stayed frozen, my eyes still wide. I heard Harry chuckle as he backs away from me,"Bye love" Harry said, turning around and getting inside his apartment.

"What just happened...?" I mumbled under my breath. This is so messed up....

(Harry's POV)

I chuckled as I heard her mumble; 'What just happened'. I can't wait for her birthday tomorrow. I have perfectly planned everything for tomorrow.

(Emrisse's POV)

As soon as I entered inside, I remembered that I stayed the whole night at Shan's house and mom doesn't know about it. I forgot to tell her!!! I'm in big trouble...

"Emrisse!?" I heard someone yell from upstairs. It's probably, mom. She walks over to me, making me nervous. Maybe she'll ground me for a month. I can't afford that to happen. This is all Harry's fault...

"Mom, I can explain" I promptly spoke. When she got nearer, I got curious. She doesn't look angry or worried.

"What are you talking about Em?" Mom asked, confused. Okay.... I'm utterly confused.

She suddenly laughed which caused me to get worried. Did she bump her head or something?

"Emrisse, I already know. Harry told me yesterday." She said between laughs.

"So you're not angry?" I asked.

"Ofcourse not, I trust Harry and ofcourse you Emrisse. I know you won't get into trouble."

"Thanks mom.." I sighed.

"Go to sleep, you have a big day tomorrow" She smiled as she gently stroked my arm.

I nodded with a weak smile "Goodnight mom" I then started to walk upstairs. I don't think my day is going to be big tomorrow. Harry didn't remember my birthday... I don't know why it matters to me so much. Maybe, I really do love Harry. If not then I wouldn't be affected like this. But... him not remembering my birthday just proves that he doesn't really care about me and that he definitely doesn't love me. I guess we are really are just friends and nothing more... I didn't tell him when my birthday is, I should't blame him. All I need to focus is my birthday, me turning 16 tomorrow. I must forget about Harry, atleast on my birthday tomorrow.

I hope he will show up tomorrow..

My eyes fluttered open, squinting a few times to adjust to the light.  It's my birthday, I can't believe I'm 16 already... Time really does goes fast.

"Happy birthday to me" I sighed and I stood up from my bed, walking into the bathroom.

(Harry's POV)

"Please, stop eating everything Niall!" I scolded him. He stops eating the cake then looks at me innocently, making the puppy eyes.

"Niall" I warned.

"Oh come on! I'm hungryyy" He whined as he walks away.

I chuckled as I shook my head. I then turn to look at Mrs. Meadows. "Do you think she's awake already?" I asked.

She shook her head "I don't think so. She always wake up late, especially on weekends" She patted my back, "Don't worry" She reassured me.

I nodded "You're right"

I still felt unsure... I need to check on her.

(Emrisse's POV)

"Mom?!" I called out as I headed to the kitchen. I already checked everywhere except for the kitchen. As soon as I am already inside the kitchen, I looked around, none.. Where could she be?

I should call her. I immediately pull my phone out from my jean pocket then unlocked the screen.

'Emrisse(Me)'»»» 'Mom'

'Where are you mom? Please reply'

I'm getting worried, at the same time, disappointed. I thought mom would make me a birthday breakfast or suprise me... Or even just wake me up, greeting me a happy birthday with a sweet hug and kiss.

I sighed in defeat as I headed to the living room. I sat on the couch and covered my face with my hands, I can feel tears building up. I can cry here... No one can see me... I began to sob, thinking if someone really loves me or maybe they just feel sorry for me, that's why they are just pretending to love me. I'm worthless... Maybe that's why dad left us, because of me. And that's why Henry cheated on me, because I'm not enough for him. It's all my fault... Maybe mom left me... on my birthday... All I need to do now is to just leave so I won't be a burden to everyone I love.

"I'm such a worthless person" I sobbed, still covering my face.

I sat up straight as I wiped my tears. I need to pack my clothes. I stood up and quickly went up to my room to pack my clothes.

"Where am I going to go?" I mumbled under my breath. Maybe I could just use my savings to check in a hotel. I grabbed my backpack and slung it over my shoulder. I straightened my jacket before I walk over to the door. I took a single glance at my room before I completely walked out.

Goodbye mom, bye Harry...
