I smiled at Auntie Regina before I opened the door to The Bridal Boutique and we both walked in. The shop was small but beautiful with deep purple and white wallpaper that contrasted beautifully with the smooth wooden floors.

There were several mannequins and beautiful wedding dresses on display as well as bridesmaid dresses which were adorable. A black chandelier hung from the ceiling and the room was brightly lit.

"Welcome!" I heard a voice exclaim and I turned to see a jolly middle-aged lady rush up to us. Without warning, she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me before doing the same to Auntie Regina. It did surprise me but her hugs were warm so I didn't complain.

"Hi," Auntie Regina smiled but I could tell that the hug had unnerved her slightly. "I'm Regina and this is my niece, (Y/N)."

"Hello." I smiled.

"Hello! I'm Chanelle and I'm the owner of this boutique. Although, you've probably already guessed that." She chuckled then her eyes landed on Auntie Regina. "Who's the bride?"

She obviously thought Auntie Regina was the one who was getting married and to be honest, I didn't blame her as I was rather young to be getting married.

"I am." I replied and she turned to look at me. She looked slightly surprised but then quickly changed her expression pleasantly.

"Oh My dear! Congratulations!" Chanelle smiled and her hands reached for mine. She squeezed them and I returned her smile.

"What sort of dress are you looking for today?" She asked and I paused before replying.

"I don't really know," I admitted sheepishly. "A white one?"

To my surprise, Chanelle burst into laughter before replying with, "I'm going to help you find your dream dress!"

I smiled back and for the next few hours, we searched the shop from top to bottom and I tried on various dresses.

Some dresses were nice and some weren't but at the end of my little try on session, I had mentally gathered a list of all the things I liked and all the things I didn't.

I told Chanelle that I really liked 3/4, netted sleeves with patterns on and I also liked that design to be carried up to my neck. I said I'd like it to be a V-Neck but not too revealing and I did not want a low, bare back. A back with the netting would be fine. I also said I wanted it to have a large, flouncy skirt because I liked the ballgown look. I wanted to look like a princess, ironically.

Chanelle listened carefully then scurried away. Auntie Regina and I waited for a few minutes then she returned, her eyes twinkling as she showed us the options I had.

She had three dresses.

- The first dress had a low neck and a netting design that covered half the arms and the back. The skirt was nice but it had patterns on it which put me off.
