(Y/n)'s POV

You woke up with a pounding entity causing you pain. Grasping at your head, you let out a groan of discomfort. "Good morning, (Y/n). How are you feeling?" Mariella asked.

"I have a migraine. What happened last night, do you know?" You inquired while Mariella sat down next to you on your bed holding a tray with a glass of water, painkillers, and a bowl of (F/c).

"All Connor made me aware of was that you drank too much. I thought you said I didn't have to worry." Mariella gloomily said as she started to open the pill packages. "Here, take these, we'll talk more when you are feeling a little bit better. Oh, and I already called Captain Fowler and reported that you aren't well enough to come into work today."

"It's only a hangover. I will be fine if I take it easy." You insisted.

"With your condition, I highly advise against you going into work today. Common symptoms are headaches, excess urination, fast heart rate, irritability, or sleepiness. If they put you into the field at the moment you have a possibility of going into another episode." Mariella explained with high concern.

"What do you mean "put me into the field", Mariella?" You interrogated.

"Captain Fowler wanted me to tell you two things. The first one is he sends his regards, and second, you and Hank were assigned to go to a crime scene today that involved a homicide. The main suspect being a deviant. But he's going to send Hank and Connor because of your current state." Mariella reported back everything Captain Fowler said.

"Are you serious?! Owww. Seriously? The first crime scene that I was looking forward to, and I'm not even allowed to go." You pouted.

"I'm sorry, (Y/n). But it is for your well-being." Mariella apologized. You didn't acknowledge her but instead took the pain medication. She signed out of defeat and got up from your bed and headed for the door. "Again, I am very sorry for upsetting you." Her head hung low as she closed the door behind her.

You ate your cereal while you sat down in front of your window. Though the brightness from the sun beating down on the white powder that decorated the pine trees made your head ache. Somehow you still found it very soothing. As you stared outside, you tried to remember what happened last night. The last thing that I remember vaguely was grabbing the last bottle of beer from the fridge. What happened after that? Despite your efforts, you couldn't find the answer you were looking for.

You finished your tantrum and went downstairs to talk to Mariella. Looking around the living room, she was nowhere to be seen. You searched around to possibly get a clue to answer your reoccurring question. Following your steps, you went over to the fridge and opened it. There sat an empty case. You grabbed the cardboard trash and turned around and placed it on the counter.

Then you realized there was a post-it next to your car keys. It had the default font, Cyberlife Sans. It read:

"Dear (Y/n), I hope you feel much more like yourself soon. I would really like to talk to you about a personal matter if that is okay with you. Have an amazing day off. - Connor."

You thought to yourself what he might want to talk about. Maybe he knows something about last night. I mean I was talking with him before I blacked out. You folded the post it and held it in your hand. Then you remember why you originally came downstairs. "Mariella? Where are you?" You called out.
