Four Years LaterHumans had negotiated a peace treaty with androids and established equal rights between the two races. No one treats androids as they once did in 2038. Mariella stayed with you in your cabin styled house since she was still your nurse. That, and she didn't feel comfortable leaving you alone. Either that or she was scared to be left alone. But she did have a day job as a nursing assistant at the hospital.
When you had enough strength to do so, you told Dr. Kavin that you were her daughter. The doctor didn't take it the best. Later that year, it had turned out that she had quit her job at the hospital and sold her house so she could move to California with Taylor far away from you. It took some time to let that wound heal, but it was easy with Hank's charm and wit.
Hank had retired from the police force and took on a full-time job of being a good owner to Sumo. Every Sunday you, Mariella, and Connor would head over to Hank's apartment and have a get-together dinner where you would talk about the past years, watch black and white movies, and play in the grey backyard with Sumo. You had the time of your life every Sunday because it was like you had your family back that was snatched from you all that time ago.
Captain Fowler had promoted you to Luitenant shortly after Hank had retired. It was then that you were reassigned a new partner. Little did you know you would be assigned to the person who started everything. The man you would come to love because of his clumsy estate who pissed off Hank from the very start. Connor sat at your old desk while you dominated Hank's. It was weird working alongside your boyfriend but at the same time, it was fun and exciting.
Speaking of Connor, you and him got together after the revolution had settled down and Markus had met with Congress to form the peace treaty. He had taken you to a Cabin in the middle of an evergreen forest that was covered in several feet of snow for your first date. It had tall windows on both top floor and the bottom floor. The open spacious living room had a chandelier hanging from the roof showing the two wooden staircases leading up to the upper half of the house.
That trip was magical because you hadn't gone on a proper date before Connor so to be going to a place you were so enthused by made your utterly happy. The two of you had a snowball fight, chilled in the hot tub, and sat in front of the fireplace while watching horror movies. There were the few occasions that Connor would stiffen at a scary part in the movie; which was when you would sneak your fingers in between his to calm his nerves. It had a 100% guarantee of working.
Back to the current time, you were sitting in yours and Connor's room reading a novel next to the window. The outfit you were wearing was quite vibrant. Your shirt had red, blue, pink, and white stripes while your pants were light blue jeans with dark green Vans. Suddenly, there was a knock on your door.
"Come on in." You invited whoever it was in. You figured it was Mariella, so you didn't bother to get up. When no one walked in you groaned and pried yourself off the floor to open the door. "I said you could come in!" You reminded the person, but to your surprise, there wasn't anybody.
You peered out into the hallway to see if there was any hint that someone was playing a joke on you. When you took one step out of the doorway, your foot pushed a piece of paper that was lying on the ground. Curious, you picked it up and read it in your head.
(Y/n),
This is highly dangerous but I'm willing to take the risk. I love you!
~Connor
P.S: Please hurry, I don't want to start a fire...
A fire? You walk to the stairway to see that the staircase was aligned with small lit candles. Shock overcame you in a wave along with all kinds of different emotions. You followed the small flames down to the bottom of the stairs to see that they led straight to your favorite spot in the whole house. The closer you got to the door, patches of petals appeared on the candlelit pathway. You push past the sliding glass to see the android you fell in love with standing in a nice suit and tie.
